That's possible but it will be Airship, not FC. There are 4 Airships you can unlock (I know because we have that many. There may be more) I don't see us having 4 exploration missions on the go at once. We are still going to be sending our Airships out.

What I am worried about is we can't have airship ventures out in the clouds and then people wanting to go on explorations. I.e. the gathering of materia etc is more or less stalled indefinitely. My FC will be probably running two to three airship parties during the peak hours so we probably will only be able to send out two of the four ships on ventures during the week due to the fact they typically take 30+ hours to return.

Extremely disappointed they actually implemented Specialist Recipes without unlocking the number of Soul Crystals that can be obtained. I've always striven to omni-craft both for myself and for my friends, and while at times it has been difficult to reach omni-craft levels it has never been impossible. I can strategize with friends on who will Specialize in what, but the reason I enjoy Crafting the most is because I don't HAVE to rely on other people. I know that sounds a little anti-social, but it's more along the lines of wanting to progress and Craft at my own pace and not have to hope that one of my friends with a certain Specialist logs in soon or that the item I want/need isn't on the market at an exorbitant price. I guess now I can just hope that nothing game changing is Specialist only =/

You can only have three specialist crafters active at any given time. Switching specialist is extremely costly and can only be done less than once per week by spending red scrips...imo it's not even an option.

If materia goes down in price I will definitely start melding. But you will need materia IV to reach caps or even come close to it.

Example Astral birch Ring HQ (the "easiest" to cap)

You need one CP IV + 2 CONTROL IV + CRAFTSMANSHIP IV + CRAFTSMANSHIP III

the last 2 slots for overmeld is gonna be the pain . You probably gonna waste 50 or 40+ materias and that's where the money I gonna go.

Trying to cap other stuff is even worst. I know people that got at least 2 characters fully melded but I know they have at least 200 million saved. Materias in my server aren't cheap specially control and cp IV.around 120k

No need to rush. 3 star recipes are coming in patch 3.2, by that time I'm sure SE will give us a way to easily obtain tier IV materia. The real problem is tier V materia.

For the most part, I think Tier V is going to be used for the next set of gear. If it turns out that tier iv will be easily obtained, you can just use those for penta-melds.

I highly doubt that you would need to fully cap your i170 gear to meet the 3* requirements.

You can`t get more soulstones, just trade the one you posses for a diferent one.

And im all up for that. Whats the point of specializations if you can specialize in everything? These are good changes.
