Second, one of the last quests is called 'Against the Dying of the Light'. Uh...

I'm just getting a bad feeling from all of this in general. The suspense is killing me!

Er they may just be going off to look for the remaining missing scions? Tataru wasn't available to play cards until after during the 3.0 storyline so maybe she is just doing something else. Besides the number of npcs that SE has actually killed in XIV is fairly low (if that helps).

Sorry, I'm just a mite paranoid after the number of major characters deaths in 3.0. I edited my post a little, this was kinda knee jerk reaction to the patch notes reading.

Eh, speak for yourself. Alphinaud is my favorite character in FFXIV, and only one of two characters that I'm significantly invested in, emotionally. Normally, I'm fairly indifferent to what happens to characters, so long as its a good story. But I think it will kill me if something happens to Alphinaud.

The other character I was invested in was Haurchefant. Whyyyy? I mean, don't get me wrong, it was a well-done and meaningful death, and I knew it was coming, but it didn't stop me from repeating 'No, no, no' under my breath as it was happening. T_T

Anyway, as expected it looks like the MSQ is going to deal with political tension in Ishgard after our trip to Azys Lla, and the Warrior of Darkness is going to step onto the stage and is bad news bears. We expected that.

Looks kinda short, though. I'll take it anyway!

Can't wait to get the Sundrop Dance, a.k.a. the Vanu Dance. Hope it's not tied to the Beast Tribe quests (which I will do anyway) or can be obtained early on. Dynamic quest to help leveling very nice!

Looks like there's going to be new dye colors, special rare metallic ones anyway. Hope they're not cash shop only, but that's likely.

Emperor's New Fists for PGL / MNKs to literally punch out gods with their bare hands. Just don't break the President in two!

Yeah, the MSQs seem kinda short this time. Here's to hoping they're multi-parted and it doesn't end up a bore like the majority of 2.1's were. Though, to be fair, it's hard to get much worse than 2.1's.

As expected most of the MSQ is handed out by Alphinaud, with Krile getting one quest in there... but "Against the Dying of the Light" and "As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness" are both handed out by Lucia of all people. Such ominous names, especially since we know Amyeric is getting shanked at some point...

If we are the bringer of hope, then the Warrior of Darkness may very well be the envoy of despair. Even so...

Do we, though? I still suspect that might be a flashback of sorts, I mean when was the last time it rained in Ishgard? Pre-Calamity, I think...

Guess Krile could also just be a Geomancer, who helpfully solves Ishgards weather problem... With rain... Welp, guess she is evil, that rain will freeze, then people will be sliding off the edge of Foundation...
