That sounds right on paper but in practice it's a reaaaaaally wild bet. Selling by stacks of 1 or 2 would take me 50 to 99 listings to sell a full stack, and by that time I may have very well sold a few stacks of 99. It also depends on what you're selling. Logs, ores, etc. constantly sell in full stacks, meanwhile you won't be able to sell full stacks of a mat only used in 1 or 2 recipes that are not frequently crafted unless you get lucky and someone decides to grind that on quick synth for xp.

I don't disagree with you on some of the more common items like logs and ores. I happily buy those in bulk. But not everything should be sold in bulk. And I'm not suggesting all your lesser-used materials all be sold 1 or 2 at a time. Why not sell stacks of varying sizes? Familiarize yourself with recipes that use some of these lesser-used materials. If it's common to require 2 in a recipe, try selling different size stacks in even numbers.

Because like I said before, at those sizes people may not even bother to sell them and just trash them. Those bulks you see are usually the result of a grind for other purposes, like trying to get the HQ versions of a gathered item for GC deliveries or quick synth grinding for xp. They didn't make them/get them with the intention to sell them, they would otherwise trash them but they're seeing if they can get any profit from them.

I do always find it hilarious to see stacks of 99 when its not needed. I mean logs and crafting, they sell much better in stacks of 10 or 20. So I know I always make money from them

I'm constantly selling 40/40... I'm not going to sell 11 stacks of 9 if I have 99.... Give me more retainers and I'll give you a more competitive market.

I don't see the problem. Everyone here seems to say that smaller stacks sell better, so buy those.

They were supposedly going to let you select an amount to purchase from listings that had more than one of the thing, but that update kind of went poof and was never mentioned again.
