    I would be fine if they did something like a 10% drop rate, but if you don't get a weapon 5 runs in a row you are guaranteed a drop on your 6th run. Also make it to where you can't get an item if you already have it.

    This is an at least suggestion though. We really need the items to just go to the player's loot list for distribution.

    I wouldn't be averse to raising the drop rates and keeping the weapons random but have each weapon you get be removed from your personal list of potential drops. IE: You get Ifrit's Cane and until you trash it, you will get something else from the chest instead. That way there's at least some light at the end of the tunnel and there's some incentive for pickups who most of the time wouldn't get anything at all from any sort of player-distribution.

    No doubt, a silly system in place and i think SE is well aware of that.

    Now why would they do this?
    Probably to keep people occupied having to level other classes to 50 to use these weapons until further patches come and then expect the loot system to be fixed up. These are all probably band-aid measures by SE.
    I really dont think they're this daft, especially with something as significant and important as a primal battle, pretty much the heart of end-game atm.

    I agree with OP, i think it sucks too. Give people the chance to pass these weapons around to those in need. Not wise to force people into leveling all classes or beating mob to death 100's of times to get their weapon of need. Make it a fair system. Even hardcores are having a hard time with this as it stands, casuals have almost no hope.

    Pick-ups couldn't even do Speed Runs, there is absolutely no way they could do Ifrit. Not for awhile anyway or possibly ever.

    Great, just the right thread for me to rage!

    Ok, I'll skip the raging part. But I'm at 0/23 at the moment while pretty much everyone else in my LS got at least one drop by now. I spent days and nights fighting this guy to figure out the right strategy with my LS, and now new people joining in get drops left and right while I still got nothing. This is probably the first time ever I got this frustrated with a game - not even Dark/Demon's Souls can compare!

    So, can we please get a dev response about when this is going to be fixed? If we get a new system in 1.20 anyway, I won't waste my time on this on this any longer.

    0/18 drops for me, this is starting to piss me off.

    EDIT: While a friend got 3/3 but 2 weapons that he will never use because he doesnt like the jobs. -_- Serisouly, whats the point?
