Can square enix just put Str and Vit on fending gear?

Having some STR on fending accs but less than on slaying would make them desirable to tanks while making them less desirable than slaying to DD's.

If slaying accs have more STR, then many tanks will still choose them. Most rock full STR already. Extra VIT isn't needed for 98% of the content in this game.

Putting STR and VIT on fending accessories would basically be the same as melded accessories you can create now, except higher ilvl and thus more powerful. SE has already said they are doing away with those hybrid accessories in 3.2, so I don't see them going this route either.
