Those are actually pretty good points, and I'd say her strong relations with Minfilia makes it more possible that she has the Echo.
Anyway, I believe she's a Lalafell is to poke fun over her japanese name, which is Kururu, which sounds like a Lalafell name already.

Well one of the quests is called the dying of the light....
Thank you all for your answers. I would have probably thought about watching the japanese trailer myself had I not been so tired yesterday -.-
Actually, it's 'Against the Dying of the Light'. For me, that doesn't nescessarily sounds like someone will die. I don't know, it could be related to the WoD, maybe? And that darkness grows stronger and endangers light or something?
I wouldn't interprete too much into it, anyways.
And about Shtola... she's pretty much XIV's mascot. You normally don't kill your mascot, right?
I, at least, don't expect her to die anytime soon, especially not since she just came back and all.

Okay, now that we are done:
1. I'm terribly sorry to have kept you all waiting since 2.1
2. Love all the banter between her and Alphinaud: Unless you can cover my mouth from way over there I am going to reveal all your embarrassing secrets. Deal with it.
3. Matoya is still used. Wohoooo
4. So she is not a Baldesion in this version.
5. She can use the Echo!!! Stand aside, Minfilia. We officially have no more need for you.

Okay interesting tidbit I saw when I spoke to Krile during the quest "In the Eye of the Beholder" warning spoilers, maybe....
she is actually adopted, to presumably a hyur "grandfather" (Galuf based on context cues). She states that her name is Krile Baldesian, and that he gave her the name. She off handedly remarks that "you dont think my parents gave me the name Krile Baldesian, do you?" Poking fun that she is a lala, without a lala-ish name.

So we can cross out number 4 in this case. Sort of. So the old coot that set up shop on the Island of Val mentioned by Matoya Alphinaud's grandfather or Krile's?

I'll bet 500 gil thatOkay interesting tidbit I saw when I spoke to Krile during the quest "In the Eye of the Beholder" warning spoilers, maybe....

The way I understood the conversation was it was Galuf, Krile's grandfather.
I thought it was pretty heavily tilted that way, but I don't remember it being certain-- the alternative doesn't make sense to me though.

Yeah I guess you are right. Still, we cant take implied stuff for granted or we will play into the hands of the Ascians.
Anyway I have a new favorite Scion. She is a Scion now right?
I dont think she is a Scion yet, maybe she will become one ( I hope so). Now that I think about it, is Yugiri a Scion? She helped us alot in the 3.0 storyline, but I do not remember her becoming a Scion. Maybe Krile will be a ally like Yugiri?
Personaly I hope when the remaining Scions return and we reform the Scions, we formally make Krile, Yugiri and the loyal Crystal Braves members like Riol a Scion.
