suggestions on what gear to equip when gathering/crafting

like the titles says,i would also like to hear on which gear to equip on every armor slot.

For gathering, I would equip gear that has Gathering, Perception, and Output stats.

For crafting, Craftsmanship and Control seems to be the key stats to look for.

From looking up your amusing character name, I see you're working on LTW and WVR, my favorites. You'll probably want to pick up the Velveteen Coatee set at 28, but no sooner since you don't get anything but defense from an item unless you meet both the class and optimal level requirements. It consists of the Coatee, Wedge Cap, Shortgloves, Half Apron, Bottom, and Gaiters. You can probably make it yourself when your WVR hits 28.

In the meantime, I see the Dodoskin Skullcap(Black), Cotton Shepherd's Tunic (Yellow), Cotton Halfgloves (Green), Dodoskin Shepherd's Belt, Cotton Shepherd's Slops (Yellow), and Dodoskin Espadrilles(Black) as good choices for crafting that also provide some gathering stats, at least among the new recipes. I recommend using ffxivpro or Mooglebox to look up gear stats and recipes to find what gear best suits your needs.
