We had no proper review on how the game was overall. We had some stuff from the BETA, but not enough on end game content to firmly say, "This game is X/10". It is a symbol of trust between the company and the player. Taking those items and selling them on the cash shops ruins that meaning and insults those players who took that risk and placed their faith in FF14ARR. This also is a good reason why Legacy players get a crap load of stuff and honorable mention, because they put their 100% faith into a game again after the huge failure from ff14.
I don't know about you, but I played Beta and had enough opinion of the game to make an educated choice whether it was worth purchasing or not, I didn't just blindly "put faith" into anything, I saw what the game offered and I chose that it was worth pre-ordering, I'm not even disagreeing that it would *kind of* suck to have the items put in for everyone, I jut think it's a little far to be "devastated" by it, that's all
