But is there any confirmation that weapons are even a reward for this? That blog image just shows a miqo'te and elezen wearing Iroha's custom costume with no visible weapons. Given the fact the previous FFXI event didn't even grant a costume to players as a reward (the reward was a Shantotto minion), I'm liable to think that weapons will still not be a reward for this. May I be proven wrong though!

you will receive a "tent Mizukage flow" armamentarium (equipment?) that ABCs (Iroha) is wearing!

If it is equipment then we it's not too much of a stretch to assume we'll get the weapon, why else would they showcase it?

Edit: posts on Reddit are saying we only get the armour set, not 100% confirmed but likely.

Surprised it's not Shantotto again. She did say she would come back.

We'll see how it will play out and wether a samurai girl showing up will have a lasting effect.

I'm just scared as this might make me want to play FFXI really bad, but that would end in a financial disaster.

looks like rhapsodies involves lots of the old characters in the missions (from all the expansions ), thats cool , as reward for finishing missions u can view all the Cutscenes of the expansions too

Welp, there go my hopes for Ninja getting any of the weapon designs from XI... Guess I'm still stuck with just Yoshimitsu and Yukimitsu... Those new relics better not disappoint me with another set of daggers, or worse, straight up swords...

I really hope we get weapons, I'd love to see DRK get tenzen's phoenix blade.

FFXI will be doing a free event for returning players and a discount campaign for new players around the same time this is released to coincide with Iroha's story getting its conclusion. This is probably a way to get ffxiv players to want to go back/try it out.

If ever the time to check out XI it is definitely now. With the NPC party system and just how the game's underbelly has changed it's not nearly as much a monster as it was back then. And I say if you have no plans on getting its kin to be made for smartphones then go play it. A wonderful story, music, and experience that wasn't given its due recognition from so many just because of some more archaic mechanics and methods to the game.

I hope this event really goes all out and gets people to really give it a go.
