Among other things, he calls for NA players in endgame contents to be more welcoming to newcomers, and I completely agree - the vitriol is why I quit raiding Coil in 2.x and haven't touched Alex Savage. You want more skilled players for your statics or even in PF in general, you need to teach them. Let them make mistakes, and forgive them. People aren't going to gitgud if you don't help.

Where NA avoid the duty finder as the plague for anything that isn't main story/casual content the JP community use that to find people to CLEAR hard fights and spend their days in the party finder training for those things.

It all comes down to the selfish behavior of this community, everyone is new to a fight at some point, everyone wipes to said fight multiple times at one point yet when people get past that hurdle and now posses the knowledge they could use to help others they suddenly enter a state of mind that says "kill experience or get lost" or "don't know the fight? sorry git gud then comeback later".

Now sure there's still friendly and helpful players in this community as well but as op said, if you don't start accepting players and help them learn a fight then there is going to be less and less players willing to even try and you could find yourself having trouble even getting replacements.

I 100% agree i myself have never kicked anyone for being slow or having bad dps why? it's a damn game and ill beat the stuff i need at some point. But cussing players out or RQ at random or that new dumb ass saying gitgud is useless and if all you care about is your ilvl and gear and being the best are you really having fun? in my eyes fun is finding ppl to have fun with and helping ppl is that not the point of a game? this is a game not a job. That's really it and if your not having fun maybe it's time to quit

This is very true and has been seen before in WoW's raiding scene. The "gitgud" mentality has gotten so prevailent people don't even try raiding anymore. There is now a HUGE lack of raiders since most don't ever dare to do anything more than casual pugging because they're afraid to get called out.

Agreed! I remember a PF group on my server said, "....experienced players only". This was for content that had just released.

Would also help if the general dps can perform better numbers that are barely more then what they can actually do pre-heavensward. There is so much people that don't seem to know their class much going into raiding.

Maybe those DPS would perform better if they were helped rather then tossed out like trash cause they cant perform. (insulted, vote kicked etc)

Now sure i have read my fair share of "they refuse to learn" topics on this forum but I'm more willing to believe that people simply are not willing to teach and rather just blame others for not getting better on their own.
