Housing items that can't be moved... Really?

I understand having to give up the house and the land, but what the heck is going on with furniture? SE, please allow people to move their high end furniture. I had to give up my Behemoth wall mount, Garuda couch, ADS table, Leviathan pool, Odin lawn furniture, armoire, etc. These things are either a huge expense or took one heck of a long time to gather mats to build. It seems a bit absurd. I understand server issues, etc, but these things can be recreated on the other side, carried in my bag from place to place, etc. How does couch made from Garuda's hair or wall mount from Behemoth's tusk take up more space than a book shelf? Please give some consideration to the amount of expense in gil and time to home owners when considering this.

To provide a "need" for old content to be done aside for "just the clear."

Except the Armoire doesn't require any end-game dungeon raiding to make. Yet it's destroyed if you try to remove it to put in a different house. I'm all for the Armoire and Crafting Stations being removed from the list of things that cannot be retrieved once placed as it has nothing to do with endgame. But people are always running the other stuff.

This bugs me cause we have a dozen or so things that we do not wish to be destroyed but don't exactly want on display all the time. Such as the CT arch kinda isn't cool anymore but we're forced to have it remain in the yard cause it would hurt someone's feelings if it was lost.

i really don't see why this "feature" was implemented in the first place. Anyone have an idea?

It is truly a terrible idea. Want to move your diamond chandelier to another room? Guess you have to go buy another for 5 mil. I would be much more inclined to buy rare furnishings if I did not have to worry about moving them. They really believe that people are going to pay for a furnishing they already have just to move it?

Exactly! my FC really wants to redo our front yard, but we are extremely hesitant to remove the Arch and the Extreme Leviathan Fountain but we would have to recraft these and the CT item is not exactly common these days.

I understand the conceit for these items to be bound to the FC or person, but I do not understand them being destroyed if I want to temporarily remove them.

Sorry if you were were actually aware of this, but you can actually move special items around the house, even up/down stairs, without needing to delete them. Just go in to the normal "move" housing mode and then controlling your character actually run into whatever room you want the item to go into and it'll still hold the item floating in front of you while you do this (it's awkward, but does work and I've used it a few times!)

Sadly it doesn't work if you want to move items in/out of a personal room to the main FC house though and it'd just be much nicer if this restriction didn't exist at all.

the chandelier acts as that floors main light and doesn't share the same controls as indoor furnishings.
