Speculation: Students of Badesion = Warriors of Darkness

What if the Warriors of Darkness are the Students of Baldesion?
If you recall a few patches ago, the "Isle of Val" which was the HQ for the Students of Baldesion, vanished into thin air by some magic akin to Ultima/Meteor, leaving only one survivor named "Krile" who has been unconscious and now largely forgotten as the story led us to Ishgard. It's possible the lalafell in the yellow cat-eared garb in 3.1's trailer, is Krile.

If the Warriors of Darkness (aka, the Warriors of Light from 1.0/2.0's opening CG's) are indeed the Students of Baldesion, they likely were turned dark when the Isle of Val vanished. It is likely the ascians who took/destroyed it. The previously named warriors of Light turned Dark, may have been tainted, tempered or possesed somehow by ascians or the being they worship, "Zodiark" in a similar fashion to our story with Hydaelyn, or Thancred's posession by Lahabrea.

Anyways, this is all just speculation on my part. We shall see how the main scenario unfolds

That's actually a decent alternate to the Darklander Theory that's been dominating the Lore Forum.

Krile is a Lalafell, so it's possible

I considered this possibility, as well as that Krile (who is confirmed to be the lalafell in the trailer) wasn't so much in a coma as she's been possessed by an Ascian and is going to lead us into a trap (Darklander fighting Ravana...).

Still, not enough information to make a definitive conclusion. We'll just have to wait and see. (Simpler than my multiverse continuum shift theory, and the simplest answer is usually the right one.)

    Hmmmmmmmm...

While I do think it is likely the two threads will connect at some point, I have a feeling that the Warrior(s) of Darkness have been "dark" for much longer than just the time since the Isle of Val incident (but they may have been involved in other ways). Also, I somehow doubt any Students of Baldesion would have been merrily adventuring around during the evacuation of colonial Sharlayan in 1562, and the motherland itself was highly isolationist in the years since, making their involvement in the events of 1572 fairly unlikely as well. Louisoix and his merry men are considered renegades in that regard.

I'm still betting on the WoD getting written in as "someone who has been here all along" but "always one step behind" the WoL, since I think they're more keen on playing up the generic adventurer parallels than wrangling them into the tangled web of Sharlayan politics.

Is it possible that the Warriors of Darkness are a copy of the Warriors of Light from the trailers, split off from us at the moment Louisoix sent us through time? Thematically, that could work, but if it was the case I don't know why the WoD wouldn't have appeared as a dark clone of the player character...

2 likely reasons: DRK storyline and the fact that not all players are Legacy players

I think is a bit strange this topic .Why would the studients be reañted with the ascians and the WoD on the first place?

Is much more simple to assume that the studiends knew something that the ascians didnt want them to know.
I remember well that they were studing the rejoining.

You have to remember that it was Elidibis who "summoned" the Warrior of Darkness on the moon, not just any other Ascian.
