Why would anyone want this game to be like Blade and Soul?
Besides the graphics, the actual combat is so boring and there is no Trinity,
the gear/loot system is awful, and features nothing new into the MMO world.

Unless they want more boobs....and butt...

Lol, dude don't ask me. As fun as Blade and Souls combat system I didn't find the story very interesting, but its all opinion, besides that's not what my point was. People should be able to discuss these things on equal grounds without coming to rude comments and such.

For example, the game may not have the trinity, but that would mean every class would be as good as the other but with different abilities they can bring to the table. Its an odd concept now since 14 doesn't play like that, it'd be like playing an entirely different game. (btw, this isn't an opening to say "the just play that game, stop complaining)"The topic should be discussed on how it would affect the game and give reasonable points and criticisms. Like that

I agree, after hearing all the hype and clamor for it I was actually excited when I got my closed beta key. Played about 2 hours, tried two different classes, bored me to death and havn't touch it since.

Now.. I love FFXIV as much as the next guy but "BnS combat is boring" is a first. Have you ever played it? It's by far he most intuitive, complex and satisfying combat i've ever played in an MMO. From the countering system to the combos, its definitely top notch.

No need to bash another game due to your distaste for it. But let me tell you this: FFXIV combat is slow.. Like SLOW. A monk with 670 skill speed, all 3 GL stacks and a fiber optic LAN connection couldn't help the pace of the combat in this game. Just telling it like it is. u_u

And you're going to have a bias against it due to you disliking any MMO's that lack the trinity.. You see where i'm getting at here?
*But I do agree, FFXIV and BnS are worlds apart. One does NOT need to be like the other.

I'm sure he meant no offense dude. We all have our own opinions afterall. Personal preferences is also something to take in mind. I may not like XIV's combat system, but it is well balanced and provides exactly what we expect from it, not too much but not too less, and I often participate in discussion threads about combat systems that would just be cool in XIV.

Anyways, yeah Blade and Souls combat was awesome, but you know what combat system might be even more awesome? DMC4s. Can you imagine that in an MMO? I'd lose my friggen mind if that happened. One game was kinda going for that named Rusty Hearts but sadly it closed down, bummer
