No offense, however that makes no sense. In this particular instance, the person was purposely griefing an RP we were having by emote spamming and using flashy abilities. In what manner is getting annoyed by someone interrupting us deemed "you need a thicker skin?" Sure, we did ignore him, but that isn't the point. This isn't tumblr, where something as little as proper capitalization (or lack thereof) can "trigger" someone. Basically, you're saying people shouldn't get annoyed at all.

Growing a thicker skin means being unable to handle criticism or getting offended over someone calling you stupid on the Internet. It shouldn't be carte blanche.

With all due respect, I disagree with your assessment. The following is my opinion.

While the player in question was purposely attempting to disrupt your RP, he/she, in fact, had no method of actually doing so. At worst, they were a distraction and something that ruined your immersion a little bit. Getting irritated by that is fully within your rights, and I'd never say otherwise. However, at the same time, getting irritated over that players actions is also a silly thing to do, given how harmless they were - certainly as harmless as someone calling you stupid on the internet. I think it's a fair assumption that you made this thread due to the irritation this player caused you. If it really did bother you that much, then I do very much believe that you need some thicker skin.

I'm in no way condoning what that player did. But I do feel that the one that let his/her harmless actions get to you...was you.
