    Please hide blacklisted player's character

While this admittedly pertains more towards the roleplaying aspect, I feel it would benefit others if people put on your respective blacklists were no longer viewable at all. You couldn't see their character in addition to them being unable to communicate with you. This way they couldn't just linger around and be a nuisance, which I've seen happen a few times now. Thoughts?

Or you could just report the players to GMs if they keep harassing you. If a person is causing such an issue that you need them off the screen and cannot relocate, just hiding the problematic character doesn't seem like it would do much. Especially if they're causing issues for more people than just you.

Or what if this Blacklisted person were to realize this and then just sit on your character? You'd be giving them a free ticket to bother the people around you.

If someone's harassing you, report them. Especially if you've already blacklisted them and it isn't enough to keep them away. The GMs respond to this, they seriously do.

GMs always tell you to blacklist players if they are upsetting you and they cannot tell you if anything has happened to them if something happens.
I also would like to not see the player names on my blacklist, especially I blacklist incredibly rude player names that the devs don't think are rude apparently >.>.

Hate to break it to you but both Eorzea and the real world isn't always going to remain the classiest of places. People have different tastes and just blocking them 'out of sight, out of mind' tends to be considered really hard headed on your part. You should be a bit more accepting, even if you don't agree on a personal level.

I hate blacklisting folks, but that one time I had to do it, I had reasons to. The thing is, I kinda agree with this topic. You see, that person I had blisted, was preventing me from Teleporting. He/she kept hitting "Trade" every time I was close to warping out, and even followed me around.

I would report, except the issue is I don't think he did anything that would be deemed reportable. Basically, we had a roleplay going and he chose to emote spam or toss out abilities just to be a nuisance.

Report them and let the GM figure it out. Just explain what you're seeing and why it's a problem and let them do their jobs.

You see this a lot. People take to the forums to complain about other people breaking the TOS or harassment but they're not even attempting to go through the process and letting the system work. The GM team exists, I've talked to several of them when I've had problems with other players, but they can't help you if you don't submit a ticket to them. GMs can't be everywhere and they can't see everything themselves. You have to tell them when you're having a problem with another player, especially when the in-game tools you have aren't enough to make that problem go away.

Or they could implement a convenient feature that many other games have, and at the same time, alleviate the number of incoming tickets their GMs get related to player harassment.

I honestly can't even fathom why anyone would be against this as it has no negative effect on anyone else unless you're the type of person that the OP would be wanting to block in the first place.
