    Legitimate Question:

How, as a SCH at 60, am I supposed to heal my MT and OT while attempting DPSing in 8-man Raids when they're both wearing full strength gear and have their stats specc'd to strength?

I'm not bashing, I'm legitimately curious, because I'd like to be more useful but as soon as I swap to cleric stance they're already down to far below half health. Any tips from the good healers around here?

Your WHM/AST should be healing while you DPS as much as possible, swapping out of cleric stance for tank busters or massive aoe damage.

A1S you should DPS full time until split, and your fair share after the split. WHM can solo heal that part in i190 while DPSing.
A2S you should DPS up until Jagd phase no ifs/ands/buts about it, at best only stopping DPS to let your co-healer get their DoTs up after you've Baned. During Jagd after everything's stabilized, get your DoTs up then let the other healer get his DoTs up. The rest of the fight is varied based on stuns and strat and who tanks what.
A3S you should mostly DPS until the tornado phase, with the random Succor/Adlo here or there. Final phase you should do whatever you're comfortable with, at the least right after the boss is back and some time after the Protean + Sluice mechanic.
A4S you should be DPSing about 70% of the fight or so. Only Jagd phase is scary.

To DPS you need a good co-healer, an Embrace spam macro, liberal E4E/Virus usage when applicable, and intimate knowledge of the fight so you know when you need to drop Cleric Stance to help out when it's a bit risky to let your co-healer solo, usually to Adlo/Succor/Indom.

Okay, thanks for the tips. Any other advice is very welcome as well. I'll try this out, though and see where it gets me ^^.

Yeah, it's basically not really in your control. You need a good co-healer otherwise you can't.

Rouse + Whispering Dawn buys you quite a bit of room to DPS usually, even more so with E4E and maybe an Adlo before going into Cleric Stance. I have Rouse and Whispering Dawn macro'd together since they are both 60 second cooldowns and I really can't come up with a realistic scenario where I would want one but not both.

I'm not sure how far that will get you in Savage (since I haven't done any savage stuff) but that works great on everything else.

Same way you do with full vit tanks, except it's easier because their self heals actually do something.

Which is to say you don't, you just let the WHM do it for you.

This is why I prefer to play WHM over the other two, so I can focus healing. I dislike DPS'ing as WHM, so when we NEED more dps, I'll just ask if I can go NIN while someone else heal.

As a scholar we now heal a lot less than before but do far more DPS !
And being forced to heal both MT and OT in full STR...this is a no ! Impossible !

How could they survive tank buster ? War ?
They need at least 17 000 to be safe... Maybe less if their heal have experience and know the fight and with additionnal buff (BLM's Apok, enhanced virus, disable, mch malus, mnk/war malus)
