Um, what? It absolutely already has this.If the market board had a history function (the prices of previously completed sales of the item) it would work a lot better. It's hard to find a good price reference sometimes for an unfamiliar item. Sellers would know how much they can reasonably get, buyers would know when things are overinflated, adjustments to the average would happen slowly over time as actual supply and demand change.
Most of the things i sell are leve turn ins or tools that have very few sellers at the moment. A lot of this tends to be at the 51-53 range. Knowing that having sub 60 HQ tools is nice but not indefinite I undercut the prices hard. I'm under the assumption not everyone is rich so they won't buy HQ tools (that i made with nq mats anyways) for 100k+ just to replace them in 2-3 levels. That being said i can probably bet that a lot of my stuff gets bought then resold if its not just turned in. Basically any onmi/fc helped player can get the things i sell for less or free. I'd rather they just buy from me.
the reason to undercut is simple....
To sell faster
ALL sales, whether real world or in a game, are fueled by supply and demand. Do I have what you want at a price you're WILLING to pay? On my world, HQ darksteel nuggets are selling for 8000-9000g... I sell mine for 5000. But I sell mine in stacks of 99. Same with hippo leather, HQ and stacks of 99. Gold nuggets, twinthread, growth gamma (nobody wants stacks of Hq vanya silk), my target market is other volume crafters, not Joe Lalafel who's crafting a wooden sword because it's dangerous to go alone (a little Zelda homage there). And many times I'm selling to the person who breaks down the stacks and resells them in quantities of 5 or 10. I did it when I was starting out. And if someone undercuts you by a gil (which is a doosh thing to do), just roll with it. If your priced fairly, you'll sell later tonight or tomorrow. Just remember, it's nothing personal, and nobody's out to get you. It's a game, have fun with it.
please undercut away.... undercut by 100's of thousands for all care... The prices are absolutely insane and players wonder why the RMT tells are still flying everywhere. You guys are seriously over charging people... to the point that they they end up buying gil just to get this stuff. For example the Mog mansion on my server is going for 15+ mil.... The moogle bush is going for 5 to 7 mil.... Other housing items are easily going for 4 to 7 mil. 3.0 Glamour items are going for 900k to 3 mil a piece. Raid food is insane 25k to 100k++++ for 1 piece of food which is insane. That is just a few Items I can think of atm....
These prices are ridiculous and completely uncalled for. Some of these items on the market board cost just as much as a medium lot. So yea I say go ahead and undercut like mad dogs in a chicken house.
Were numbers invented or discovered? How many Moogles does it take to make Kuponut rum? Answer: zero... They will give you a quest to make it.
My only beef is when people sell stuff on the market boards for LESS than it can be NPC'ed for, i mean WTF
This is the point i just NPC the items I was going to put on the market board
