And it depend also if you have a great smn with you (Titan-egi is my hero !!!)... Or a steel-pants dragoon who can take 2/3 hit when the tank is raising.

Never panic.

I've noticed that after the tank dies on a trash pull (for whatever reason), people who get aggro will start to run away as if it will make a difference. I make it my goal to pull all the aggro to myself in that situation, get a swiftcast rez off, pop some cooldowns, and heal myself until the tank is ready. If the aggro gets onto a dps they will almost surely start running.

I do the same on bosses if i know i can take it, because it's better than having the boss run halfway across the room every 2 seconds.

If you find your MP getting too low, go into conservation mode. You and the tank are 1st priority. Use heals when you really need to, and you may just last until your MP button is ready.

Here's some advice if MP is ever an issue. As an astrologian, it's important that you understand the unique ways some of your spells interact with eachother, you have a few interesting ways to get a little more MP in more intense situations.

1. If you're struggling with MP, ALWAYS follow Luminiferous Aether with Celestial Opposition, it will buy you a few more seconds of the mp buff.
2. If you're really struggling, throw your balance and bole cards into the royal road, and then wait until you get an ewer card. It will supercharge the ewer card and give you a significant chunk of mp.
3. Synastry is your friend. Cast it on the tank when things are getting hot. It will save you MP when you don't have to waste it on extra heals.
4. Lightspeed is good for more than some quick heals, it reduces the cost of heals as well. It's even better when you pair it with Celestial opposition (which you should be using in tandem with Luminiferous Aether). So Luminiferous Aether->Lightspeed->Celestial Opposition.

If things are getting hectic and a lot of damage is going out. That means it's probably a good time to use lightspeed and pop a few Helios and Aspected helios to top everyone off.

How do you guys cope with the stresses of healing?

To qualify this, I was once described by an FC mate as a "self destructive healer" as I love the stress of healing, I embrace the panic of healing a raid that is on the verge of wiping. it may be the way i've learned to deal with the stress I dunno...
I now main a scholar in all my end game content, have done since T5.

Ever been in those situations where everyone is dying and you have no clue what to do?

Every single time in Diadem when facing Forgotten Wisent now. Corpses are piling up faster than I can resurrect.

How do you guys cope with the stresses of healing?

Bring up a talk after first wipe, discuss about the strats.

Sure all the attack are annoying but he don't hit that hard !

The brachiosaurus is hell of shit to heal !
Between heavy cleave, burning attack and his stolen meteor from behemot... I hate it !
(I just lost it when I saw 2 of them spawn near the ptérodactyle fishing spot... 2 meteor for more than 20 000 damage thanks but no)

I just try my best to stay in a zen state because when I don't somebody or me will die because a mistake will be made. Of course in some fights especially in DF runs it gets tougher to not get stressed out particularly in the new stuff right now where people don't all understand strats and know what to expect. One particular boss in Void Ark is getting on my nerves lately because of the heavy healing requirement and the first reaction of people to this seems to be run around in circles as far away from the Healers as possible.
