    >_< grinding stones are used to take a stone from being rough to a raw gem, where gem cutters then do precise cuts using a tool similar to the gold smiths main hand to add a higher quality to the gem, if your issue was realizm why not check on how gems are really crafted... I cannot believe your post has been for something so minor

Main hand weapons are focal to one item being created. (The way this should have been since the beginning) Secondary tools (which normally one would consider them to make mass production) are now fixed. In fact, if it were up to me, I'd require certain recipes to use certain tools. That way (Gem-Cutting) isn't used with a hammer, but instead a grinding wheel.

Embedding a gem into a weapon would require the hammer. It just makes more sense that way. Though, it does not leave options for Quantity/Quality.

A post does not have to be about something major, I know it's a minor thing. However I don't understand how a grinding wheel creates multiple items.... Yes I do know how gems are made in real life. They are chiseled and then taken to a grinding/buffing wheel to polish it off thus making it hq. My post is not meant to create an argument of any sort I am pointing something out and asking about it, that is all. And this does not just revolve around the goldsmith it also revolves around other crafting classes too. Once again I know it is a minor thing but it doesnt make sense. If you can't see that I am sorry for you.

Nuru thankyou for seeing my point. That is exactly what i've been getting at. There should never be a general rule for anything. It makes things boring and just doesnt seem right. I hope they implement this and make each craft different in their own way!
