who is that NPC that keep vanishing ?

hi, today i noticed a npc vanishing in front of me O_o
was like "WTF?!"

so i took a video of it again, about walking, and vanishing !

anyone know about her ?

Nobody in particular. She's a random person in Idyllshire. NPC's just walk a certain path and vanish.

there's another one in the Pillars, she walks and I guess after she's done her movement route, she vanish and reappear at her starting point.

(like the ark appearing sometime in some random location, even if we dont have acces yet)

I'm more surprised by the fact that it is a walking NPC in the open world.

And who knows? Maybe she is important and the devs are keeping the surprise for later.

I think they made the npc walking route small and she disappears in front of us making many believe she is a ghost or some urban legend. She should have a walking path towards the village's entrance and disappear there like she is leaving and not in front of us.

I heard the Au Ra in that video is the character created by Yoshida during a stream showing Au Ra character customization. Not sure if that's true, since I didn't see the video myself.

But yeah, there are lots of random npcs in heavensward that have little scripted paths before disappearing and respawning a few minutes later. Just to give the illusion that stuff is happening in a given area.

One of the biggest complaints in 2.0 was the lack of lively cities. They were more or less just hubs for adventurers and not really "cities" in feeling. In 3.0 they spiced things up a bit in the game by having NPCs randomly walking about, interacting with eachother, advanced dialogs, etc to breathe more life into cities and hamlets.
