    Feature Request for Void Ark

So I was just in a lovely World of Darkness run, and already half of you can probably see where this is going. I believe I've only ever had a pleasant experience in there once, maybe twice, where people knew what was going on, where no one face-pulled, and where things went completely smoothly. Even if a group wiped, though, it could still be pleasant if communication was good.

FFXIV generally has a pretty good community. People are friendly and helpful, and in almost every piece of content I've run, I've had a good time. And the smaller the group, the better the run goes, and the more pleasant it is. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that smaller groups have a smaller chance of picking up the jerk in the group, and people are less likely to be a jerk when it just takes three pissed-off people to evict them from content (versus eight. Or twenty three--or however many CT dungeons take).

But the Crystal Tower dungeons (and the upcoming Void Ark dungeons) are very large content. So the probability of there being a jerk in the group is almost 100%. It is old content, so there's a much smaller pool of people running it now, but even when we have Void Ark dungeons, there will still be a much higher chance of encountering a toxic player.

All it takes to ruin the experience of a dungeon is one jerk.

So what I'd like to see would be an ignore feature.

Simply, if you don't like someone in the 24-man content (say they insulted your hamster), you can right click on their name in the chat and select "ignore." Then you will not see anything else that they say, and they will not see anything else that you say, either to party chat or alliance chat. And this would expire when the dungeon ends - keep it in RAM to eliminate the storage requirements.

The frequency of jerks that my guildmates and I have encountered in our WoD runs has been exorbitant, and has honestly made us want to stop queueing for it (despite how damn gorgeous the gear in there is). And I fear that unless something like this is implemented (or the ability to blacklist people from other realms), Void Ark will just be more of the same.

Void ark won't have that problem for the most part. When the previous 24 man raids first came out, they didnt have that many issues because everyone was new, mostly including skilled and friendly players. Old 24 man raids are a joke now because there's no reason for players to do that content anymore, so all you get is noobs, jerks and trolls. They should really give better rewards so that new players can experience that content.

Not many people still won't do it, even if there are better rewards. It's extremely outdated content as stated before in another thread, but I still think that an 'ignore' feature would be appreciated. Sure, you can blacklist them, but only if they're on your server. Ignoring people in dungeons does help a lot when it comes to those people who purposely try and troll others.

I remember a lot of trolling, arguing, and auto-translate sex puns.

Even if the trolls do eventually get to void ark, as someone stated, there'll , be everyone else. I used to run WoD before the expansion and while there was the occasional troll or two, it wasn't even every run. While not every run was awesomely good one, really bad ones were not a rule either. So yeah, the new content actually being current will in itself dilute the amount of bad eggs.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
