All it would be is a cheap and poorly written "plot twist" to get people to care about the storyline because some people like the character, to get a reaction out of people. That's not even mentioning the fact that they've pulled this exact same thing, except with someone who was still alive.

I wouldn't mind if they brought back Haurchefant for the sake of killing him again. Assuming it was done well, of course, as part of an Ascian plan to unnerve the Warrior of Light. Yet if, like a certain other character he ends up being brought back and restored then it'd just feel very cheap. One of the reasons as to why I got so weary of WoW's story was due to the incessant habit of slain characters suddenly being brought back from the dead.

Well it worked for me (regarding Nanamo), and I expect to pull the same stunt with the other Scions (they practically foreshadowed it the moment Y'sholta returned), but at the same time, I'm pretty sure Hauchefant is dead. And that those screens make a cheap plastic replica look more real.

But hey if you're cynical enough to think that they would bring more people back form the dead then just the Scions, (and more pessimistic than I) be my guest.
