Just felt that stuff like "Raging Strike" and "Quelling Strike" and kinda random, they really could be renamed to "Strong Draw" or "Stealth Shot" which fit the archer theme more. Hoping that with the class revisions they give some more thought into the naming of skills instead of the random names we previously had.
Review of the recently released abilities
ARC Abl. 1 (Hawkeye/Aim/Sharpshot) Increases accuracy.
ARC Abl. 2 (Stealth Shot/Subtle Release) Reduces enmity and increases TP generated by next action.
ARC Abl. 3 (Decoy) Consumes MP to evade a single ranged or magic attack.
ARC Abl. 4 (Camouflage) Reduces enmity.
ARC Abl. 5 (Multishot?) Sacrifices accuracy to convert your next shot into a multifold attack.
ARC Abl. 6 (Barrage/Hunter's Mark?) Increases attack power each time an attack lands, up to a maximum of three stacks. Effect fades upon missing an attack.
ARC Mag. 1 (Chocobo Marzuka!!!!) Increase the movement speed all party members within range. Effect fades upon sustaining damage.
Up to this point, i would just like to note for the sake of discussion that it might be worth it for archer to be stacking accuracy; depending on the effectiveness of the Arc Abl. 5 Multishot skill (if they would give us TP per arrow nocked/revert buff calculations/lower recast). Also Arc Abl. 6 would seem to benefit greatly from perfect accuracy, if maintaining 3 stacks is a significant buff. Hopefully it's the case where by maintaining this buff we deal some significant damage.
And if they'd allow the Arc Abl. 5 to stack with Weaponskills, that would be UBER!! (And I would be dreaming. lol)
As for weapon skills, we seem to have two openers. One opens to damage/aoe while the other opens to debuffs.
WS Chain 1a Base WS 1 >> Hamstring Shot (Trammel) >> Wide Volley
WS Chain 1b Base WS 1 >> Quick Nock? Conal AoE with Sidewinder on target >> Bard WS (Stun)
For WS Chain 1a, i find it a bit awkward because here you are applying a Heavy onto a target, if you have pulled a group, you've only slowed one mob while the others will be rushing into your face. So to follow up with an AoE WS seems a little redundant because chances are that the mob you just applied Heavy upon, will be far behind the rest of the pack, So the AoE is kinda useless.
Almost think that they should be swopping the Bard WS to position of the Wide Volley. Ie: heavy into a stun into a heavy into a stun. (Barcher Kiting!!!)
While the Wide Volley moves to after the Quick Nock in Chain 2, Which Focuses on AoE.
WS Chain 2a Base WS 2 >> Eye Shot (Blind) >> Bloodletter
WS Chain 2b Base WS 2 >> Shadowbind
These seem fine but i think i would rather Bloodletter follow Shadowbind. LoL Bind and Bleed, would hopefully be effective.
Maybe I've gotten it all wrong though, that SE wants you to rotate the combos instead. (Making it less intuitive to make the game more challenging. Who knows)
