As an alternative for PS4 chat, you can run your ps4 to the line input on a laptop/desktop sound card, then use Playstation Wireless Headphones on your PC.

You'll hear all the audio from the PS4 as well as anything else running on the PC "effectively mixing them together" and still sit on your couch.
Skype on ps4? That'd be nice. Right now I move a laptop next to me, but sometimes my cats race by and knock the power cord out. also have to use a headset to avoid an echo from the microphone being near the speaker.. I imagine it'd work better with sound coming through my TV.
