I bet he can't because SE never said they are dropping it soon.
They think about it, that is all we know. But it is more than save to say, that it won't be during Heavensward.

If they drop the PS3 Support, soonest spot would be with the 4.0 Expansion. That will be around mid of 2017, if HW will last close to two years, like ARR.

yoshi commented about dropping support to ps3 for the next expansion , i think SE will let ps3 transfer to ps4 again, or if u buy the next expansion on Ps4 (having ARR , and HW on ps3 ) u get the ps4 versions (ARR, HW) for free....

but next expansion is still 1 year+ away .....

my wish is better water graphics already
