The 860M can run W3 pretty quite nicely, it's just that FFXIV is a rather unoptimized mess. Unless you were referring to nicer textures, in which case you could turn them down.

OH! I didn't know that! This little thing can hold her ground well enough I think... It will not be much longer (maybe some months) until I get my 980M 8GB SLi notebook tough, and I really hope I don't need to change it for the next 5 years. The 860M can run W3 pretty quite nicely, it's just that FFXIV is a rather unoptimized mess. I thought the game looked amazing on the PS3. But once I dumped it I was amazed at how much better it looked on PS4. And friends who take screenshots on PCs...way better. I don't see how the graphics are held back by consoles. In my experience, the only ones held back are the ones on the inferior machines. I'm not super knowledgable about this kind of stuff, but the graphics are better on other machines. On PS3 it was held back by the lack of on screen items. You can't view your gil on the screen, you lost your LB bar when you turned on focus target. (i did anyways) and we didn't have the hotbar options, mouse/keyboard options, and all of maybe 5 people would load in a congested area. I don't feel like I'm being held back on PS4, but i'm damn sure not going back to PS3. I think graphics aren't an issue unless you're on the underperforming console like i used to be.
