Terrible lag on Exodus since Halloween update.

Any news on Square addressing this is an issue? Have seen posts here, on Reddit and others in-game with this problem. They've somehow messed something up with the update that gives several players terrible lag issues. It cannot be an ISP or personal issue since people from all over the country with different ISPs and conditions have all started having the same issue at the same time. For me, all other games still work lag free, but this one is now borderline unplayable.

Lots of people on my server are having issues including me. We just did an Alex4 run for someone so they didn't have to df all day. one was having issues before we got in... then at the start of the fight two other people d/c... and then for an added bonus I hit a nice lag spike. Last time I had issues with lag like this effecting this many people was the early days of WoW.

Check your routing. If you are hitting Level3 into Montreal that may be your problem...especially if it is the old car2.Montreal hops that have been causing problems off and on for years.

On the European side it seems to be most common with BT/orange and their affiliates, or otherwise peering through Telia to get into KDDI.


Fixes for either scenario should be possible through your ISP by switching up the routing, or you may be able to do it yourself through a VPN.

I think is a common problem, not specific a certain server. I'm from Tonberry jp server and I'm facing lag spikes since the update. Spikes that I've never had before.

Yes I'm using vpn. Still getting spikes and lost packets.

Same from Faerie. Not even much lag, just a sudden disconnect.

Still having the same issues, the lag was worse than usual last night.
