    Making Favors more fun?

Thread in progress, on break ATM.

I believe the whole reason this current favor system sucks is because of how flat and unentertaining it all is. It causes a lot of people to not use up all their across to farm the items and the market for then is ludicrous because of it. I believe if they made it less grindy and time consuming they would be what they should be.

    First things first,
-Add a little bit of lore behind them. They are just a flat mechanic with no additions to the XIV world. Gives the system and game a little more flavor.

-One Red Token will give one Favor instead of five. The time limit will be up in the air (I'm thinking maybe 10 min) as to the average player yield.
-Average yield per Favor is increased via the new mechanics. This way players aren't spending 5-6 hours a week just grinding favors. There's better things we could do.

    Okay finishing up.

    And now the main changes,
-When players gather a Favor item from a concealed node, there will be a 50-75% chance the slot will not disappear. Works for both regular and premium grade items (Bladeleaf AND Swordleaf)
-Leaving a regular grade Favor item open in a concealed node (not depleting the node with the Bladeleaf slot still there) gives a buff to your next Concealed Node proc chance
-Leaving a premium grade Favor item open in a concealed node (not depleting the node with the Swordleaf slot still there) gives a buff to your next Concealed Node premium item chance.

Favors become a test of how far you can push your luck rather than a simple "minemineminemineminemine PROC!! minemineminemine". Players can choose to try to go for another concealed proc buff by leaving items open, gathering as many items as possible and hoping to reach the final attempt to leave the node open for a concealed proc, or whether they should push for their swordleaf procs instead. Your favors will yield just as many items as they do now on average but it would take less time and be more fun and interesting, which in turn cause players to actually use up all of their favors throughout the week instead of giving up so early or not even bothering. This should cause the markets to finally flourish and these new items and equipment wouldn't be priced at the current 40-60m (in Mateus).

    There I'm done.

Well with the addition of "red scrip materials" while doing airship exploration, doing favors will probably drop to the way side in favor of just buying the i180 gear for gatherers

Depends on rates, but even if it's something like 90 minute exploration for single set of red scrip mats i'd do that over farming favors.
