Question about gears 120~130

Hi Im newb here

i have a question about 120~130 gears.

im trying to get 120 gears and plan to upgrade those gears to 130

but i found some white gears in Market Board

139 white gears are a bit better than 130 blue gears

but why ppl keep farming Allagan tomestones of poetic for?

Poetics are used to buy level 50 gear. Gear that's above i130 is for levels higher than that. I see that you're level 51 so you have access to Heavensward content, you don't need to worry about the poetics gear at all unless you want it for another job that's still level 50.

1. Glamour
2. So their other jobs can have decent gear when they start going into HW content, because poetics gear only requires level 50.
3. They might be getting poetics for other reasons, like crafting mats, or they want to do the old relic

The Poetics gear (ilvl130 lvl50) is usefull until lvl55 gear is obtainable for you, BUT you don't Need it. as Long as you can enter the first dungeon you can farm new Equipment easily(<- that's what Callinon means with not worrying)

That's exactly what I meant, yes.

The first dungeon (Dusk Vigil) drops i120 gear. The next one drops, I believe, i130 and then like i136 in the level 55 dungeon. There's also a full i115 white set that can be purchased from vendors in Ishgard which is plenty good enough to get you started if you've got major holes in your gear set. The poetics gear is nice to have as a jumping off point but in no way is it required for anything in HW.
