Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
I'm pretty sure they learned from ST. I'm thinking these tokens they are mentioning are auto-drops for gear (kind of like Alexander Savage pages), as grinding for gear in 24-man raids can require a lot of work if you're trying to get a specific item. I'm hoping these tokens, however, are not for i200->i210 upgrades and they stick with the weekly quest reward like they did with the i120->i130 upgrades.
I'd very much like to see the return of the weekly quest reward, however I think asking players to run 4 24-man raids a week is troublesome. I think the smartest idea would be to have the quest be Void Ark + one of the level 50 24-man raids. This will keep the quest from being too grindy as we get more Void Arks (I assume it'll be a little series similar to the CT series) and also bring back some life into the current 24-mans... which are incredibly dead.

It can be like with the upgrade items for poetry gear from CT. A reward from a weekly quest you have to accept before entering the Ark. After finishing the Ark you get automatic a key item and that you give the quest NPC to get your weely upgrade item.
Maybe it is me who feel like this, but during the weekly item periodes i got gears faster than after the weekly lockout got removed.I'd hope it's not weekly, the game is hurt hard and right now I don't see a weekly restriction being a great idea to bring people back to the game since the idea of having a week to sit and around and stomach the same old content instead of the fresh might put more people out.

Regarding gear, Yoshida said that Void Ark was going to be using the same loot system as all previous 24 mans but that was awhile back, hope they've reconsidered in this time. The fact that they haven't brought it up again leads me to believe that isn't the case and tokens won't have anything to do with the gear.
Esoterics armor is only useable by one class, with 3 new jobs in HW we're looking at 13 jobs now. To get just a weapon, hat, chest, hand, leg, and boot pieces for one job is 4,125 per job, 53,625 for all 13 (and that is not including accessories and belts either), so 119.2 weeks of Eso capping. Myth gear was also class restricted, but with weapons only being from t5 or the Relic quests at the time, it was only 3,135 for one character (again, not including belt + accessories here), 31,350 for all 10, which was only 69.7 weeks of Myth capping. That's a pretty significant difference. Alexander Savage is definitely not as popular as the Coils were and with quite a few statics still hitting the A3S wall, so those people are only getting accessories (and belts) + boots & gloves for mains and alts.Regarding gear, Yoshida said that Void Ark was going to be using the same loot system as all previous 24 mans but that was awhile back, hope they've reconsidered in this time. Unlike the Coils, if you want weekly armor from a 24-man (especially a specific item, be it for stats or glamor). It's not like "oh you ran it once this week, it didn't drop, try again next week", people had to grind for it. It took me well over 40 runs to get that stupid BiS Bard chest from WoD and I usually had 1-3 other Bards in the party fighting me for the chest. BisEXual and RavEX are both farmable (ie. no weekly/loot lockout) and they still drop tokens, so it's not like they can say the tokens are specific to non-grindable content.
Locking the coats/twines behind a token system instead of a weekly quest would be back tracking, especially when it worked out really well for the i120 to i130 upgrade. A token system for armor in a 24-man raid might be too easy, but I think right now it might be a necessary evil to combat the amount of Eso needed for upgrades (especially on alt classes) and the A3S wall (iirc one of the jobs has an accuracy issue with i200 + i210 available from A1S and A2S? I remember hearing a lot of accuracy complaining in my old static. So some of the new i200 gear from VA might actually be BiS for some people).

They said it's one time weekly token, I think will be the same as gordian manifesto.
I honestly hope it is like this, a lot of progression players have to wait four weeks per twine from A3S, then if you consider how much time they put into the fight to actually get the clear, it seems really unfair to just give an upgrade per week out to everyone for a 45-60minute raid.
I'm not against having Coats and Twines drop from the new 24 man, but I think it should be 2-3 weeks of tokens per Coat and 4-6 weeks per Twine.
Guaranteed token per week would make more sense. Then when you have enough you trade it for an gear upgrade item. If this was 3.15 or 3.18, then yeah getting the upgrade item itself per week would be fitting but not right at the start of the new 24-man's lifespan, IMO.
