    Targeting system QoL recommendations

    Hello,

I have two suggestions which I feel would greatly improve the user-friendliness of the targeting system; particularly for Jobs which utilise several damage-over-time and/or debuff skills in tandem. These include the following:
    1. Adjust the target display such that an enemy inflicted with several DoTs of the same type (eg. Bio) condenses those inflicted by other players into a single debuff icon, with a tally in lieu of a countdown - detailing the number of that particular DoT currently active on the target. So if you're fighting a FATE boss for example, instead of Bio, Bio, Bio, Bio, Bio, Bio; you instead have just Bio(x6), eliminating a lot of superfluous clutter. If you yourself are an Arcanist however it might instead read Bio(XX), Bio(x6) - still showing your Bio's countdown while condensing the rest.
Visual example someone knocked together (you know who you are; thanks dude), slightly edited by me:

Under this system the clutter on the upper half of the image is condensed to a single icon, as seen just below.
    2. Expand the number of buffs/debuffs which display simultaneously in the Focus Target pane. Ideally add an option in the character configuration settings which allows the user to set the maximum number of icons they would like to display. If this is an issue due to the PS3's limited memory, the maximum limit may be set lower or the system kept as is for that particular platform.
An option for Focus Target to exclusively display debuffs inflicted by the player would also be greatly appreciated.
I feel these changes would be fairly simple to implement, would provide a great convenience to all players, and the former might potentially even lessen server load.
Thanks for reading. If you like the idea please respond and maybe upvote this post so a community representative might take notice.

We really need this feature, especially with the new 24-man coming.

I likely won't see your replies to my posts so if it's important, /tell Lem Ayase@Kujata .

All the DOTs you apply are always on the far left with green timers though, so does it really matter? It shouldn't be hard to keep track of just the left side.

Do note that I don't think your idea is bad, but there are a lot of other tweaks I'd like to see worked on first

It's not just that, it's a matter of streamlining the user-interface and removing extraneous visual information. The green hue of your DoTs (and their timers) readily get lost in one's visual field if there's a lot going on as well- such as when fighting a hunt mark.
The real issue is that while there's a setting currently in-game to turn off the display of other people's de/buffs it also omits extremely important information like Antibody and boss self-buffs. That, and the ability to use Focus Target as a personal tracker should only be seen as a convenience.

I certainly agree these aren't essential changes, but that's the nature of most Quality-of-Life implementations. Suggestion 1 would improve QoL for everyone when participating in open-world content, 2 should aid anyone who desires a better means of tracking their DoTs, and both should be fairly easy to implement.
    Nonetheless thanks for your feedback.
Also, I'm not sure if this is a problem with my client or the server but sometimes when I apply/refresh a DoT on a target inflicted with more debuffs than the current display limit (50 icons I think; usually a FATE bosses) mine doesn't appear in the target's debuff bar- forcing me to track the timer mentally. This is just a bug though, unrelated to my requests here, but suggestion 2 would probably solve it as well.
