So I have done all the mats we need myself, as I have all crafter on 60, so is it okay then if I just invite friends, place them in the workshop and start doing my business, throwing in all the mats?I should also say that the recipes require you to have a particular job at a certain level to trade items. (I think it's the job/level required to make the item, but I could be wrong about that.) E.g. CRP 21 to trade yew lumber. If you're 60 everything it won't matter, but thought I'd mention it.
they don't have to be in your FC just ask some friends
One thing to keep in mind - having all the mats ready for all stages is really courteous to the other people if you're asking them to sit around while you craft (as opposed to them working with you to gather the mats and craft). But, if you get an Excellent or Outstanding proc on a stage, it reduces the number of items you need for the next stage by having some already there for free. Excellent is 33% (one submission) of each item already there, and Outstanding gives you 67% (two submissions) of each item already there.
So, if the other people are not from your FC and helping you out of the kindness of their hearts, you should get all the mats done and ready ahead of time. But, if they're from your FC and working with you, or you're paying them somehow for sitting around, you might want to do it one stage at a time instead.
With my FC, I'll usually do the first stage myself (or someone will tell me they're doing it and I should help them), and then get three others to hit the button, and then see what they're up for. If they want to help craft, we stick it out and do the next 1-2 stages of the craft. If they don't feel like it, we disband and I do the next stage slowly between other things, and then get another three, etc. Very leisurely, and takes almost no time from the people who aren't interested in helping out with the actual crafting, but are willing to stand there for a second so I can hit the button.
Oh, and my theory as to why it takes four people to hit the button is that there's actually this giant button marked "MAKE THE THINGS," and it's so huge and heavy that it takes four Warriors of Light just to push it. You can't hire NPCs or ask your pile of mammet pilots for help, they're just not strong enough.

Not to be to critical but why wouldn't you want to invite more people to your FC? not talking about lets get 500 members but AT LEAST a few others that you meet and know for a bit before inviting. Just kinda seems like a waste for you to even get airships up and running when the perk of having FC airships is that you can bring 24 people with you and go into the hard areas. You ain't gonna be able to do much with 2 people.
"Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."
Because most people are already comfortable in their FCs, many people don't feel comfortable preying on level 1 players, or any number of reasons. You can tell people about your FC all day long, but you can't make them join. So, if you're like me, you do everything on your own or with the one or two other active people and hope for the best. Personally, I'm not interested in being in a company with more than maybe 45 or 50 people, and I'm not willing to disband my fc and lose all the hardwork and gil we put into it. You can DF almost anything in this game and PF the rest, so the "you ain't gonna do much with 2 people" point is moot.
