Is "farm party" secret code for "carry me"?

So shockingly we actually cleared the duty and then the leader decided to leave. Turns out he needed the clear, and even though we got it swimmingly, he didn't want to stay to do more runs. His excuse was he accidentally typed farm in the PF when he meant kill group. This annoyed me more than the constant failing groups on PF cause he basically just used 7 people and then wasted everyone's time after.

Why bother when they can just keep sabotaging parties until yoship steps in and nerfs the fight like he always does? Trying before the nerf is probably just gambling with lower odds for a carry. They'd still hope for a carry after the echo/nerfs except it'll have a higher chance of a carry.

These people even exist in this forum. IIRC I saw some elezen poster claiming that she just assumed that hawk's eye only boosts accuracy and have been ignoring the skill for TWO years and he posted it like was no big deal. This really got burned into my mind because I remembered the poster specifically for being specifically hateful towards 'raiders' who wont help people like him get clears and was super anti challenging content. This wasnt even the poster that was arguing that hawk's eye is a...dps loss.

I don't usually post but... it's like "farm" parties aren't even a thing. I've been trying to farm for Ravana EX weapons for alts recently, and I can't even get a party to clear the damn thing once. It's usually three attempts then a ragefest from one guy, because no one can do double prey right. The dps hasn't been too lacking since the shields get broken, but it's like no one can do a simple mechanic (i.e. running to a wall so you don't get pushed off). I'm too afraid to even try for Bismarck EX to get some glamour weapons.

It's like what people said before, once you get your clear no one try's anymore.

An example would be the Ravana Ex clears we were trying to do in our FC. Some members like myself practice and spent hours in learning parties and watching videos to become borderline experts, while some members get there clear the first or second time without the same level of practice and they still go "derp" on the mechanics. Long story short, there were a ton of wipes for just trying to clear for "2" people.

If you find good people in pf for something you want to farm lots start a linkshell. It'll save you a lot of time.

Lots of people will buy carries, then attempt to join farm parties as soon as that law bonus doesn't show up. I've seen people who have their clear who have no idea about any of the mechanics. One rav ex party had a healer who had absolutely no idea how to do any of the mechanics. They MUST'VE bought a carry, or in their clear died early and had an extremely good solo-healer.

Most of the legitimate population of my blacklist consists of the people who've joined my farm parties that explicitly say cleared only and don't admit it when the law bonus pops up. I know learning a fight is frustrating, but for most of us who got to the point where we do farm parties, we put in the hours of wipes in pf. It doesn't make us "elitist" (which I got called preceding a much, much worse word in a t10 farm party by a guy wanting a carry), we paid our dues and want a party with people of similar skill level.

True... I freely admit that my 1.0 knowledge colored my view of skills in 2.0 (I was that elezen, by the way) but I totally use them now. But I've never been against challenging content. I actually like challenging content and freely try everything at least once. But that is neither here nor there, this is a thread about farm parties and how people are taking advantage of them.

I think it's a easy mistake of seeing things in black and white.

Saying if your are "Experienced" or "Not experienced" is kind of asking someone if has eaten cow before. Before you say "Well sure I have eaten a hamburger", just know I'm gonna put a live baby calf in your arms and hand you a fork.

Some people would be fine if this happened... cause life is freaking terrifying...lol But I could also just hand you just a hamburger.

Maybe you don't eat meat. Maybe you want to get a pizza instead... And to you I say: "This is a metaphor and I'm terrible with them -_-"

That won't be necessary because you won't even need to do BisEX to unlock RavEX, making the fight completely useless in a matter of one patch cycle. I really don't know how much farther the hand-holding will go. Maybe in 3.2, Ravana's shields will get de-activated.

We had someone join a farm party and they had bonus - sure we'll take you along but will replace if needed. We kill it and they just leave saying "I was only in it for the clear"... Suffice it to say people got really mad at that.
