Is "farm party" secret code for "carry me"?

Admittedly I'm not one of those people that use party finder often. Except for when one of my fc mates needs help with something, I really don't use it, but asking around it seems like 9/10 farm parties fail even when no one is new to the content. Has anyone else noticed this?

Usually a 50/50 for Balmung parties. If I host'em...I put "Call loot after first clear" so we don't waste time talking about drops just to wipe several times before splitting. <_<

LOL yes I believe so...... because even "experienced" players make me cringe on times on how much they screw up on a simple mechanic.

I think this is one of the reasons. But I also think that seeing "farm party" automatically makes people more relaxed...it's similar to having done and perfected a task and then goofing up simply because you've become too comfortable with doing it effortlessly. I joined an Alexander farm party and we wiped...three times, I believe it was? And that was only on A1. After that, though, everything was seamless.

I think we should also take party dynamics into considering. For instance, a healer in a static might be willing to take one of the exploding spheres if someone misses it. Another healer won't. This difference alone could lead to a wipe.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I leave after three attempts if the group can't clear it in one shot. I'd say about two-thirds of the parties I've joined were actual farms and we were there for an hour or more.

Back in ARR, most farm parties I joined were actually good enough to farm for quite a while until people started getting tired or lost concentration and we started wiping enough to disband.
No idea about HW content though, I stopped using the PF since the expansion came out.

99% of the time with me which is why I made the thread about the PF filter. Recently it's been 100% of the time.

I'm almost scared to go back and do Bismarck Extreme again. Is failing the DPS check still a thing people do with Eso gear?
