Non Steam to Steam

Hi everyone,
Need help with this. I'm currently playing on PS4 Pro but I wanna play on pc but My account is linked with FF14 ARR cd and I want to buy it on steam but people say that it cant be done. But I'm wondering if I can cancel my FF14 ARR and buy the complete collection on steam to overwrite it on my account.

Sorry I'm confused, when you say "FF14 ARR cd" do you mean you already bought it for PC? If you look on the Mogstation does it show that you have a Windows licence? (in which case why do you want to buy it again?)

If you don't then yes you can just buy it off Steam. It not then sorry you're stuck with whichever Windows version you bought (Steam or non-Steam).

But if you have already bought the base game for PC then you don't need to buy it again and Steam/non-Steam won't make any difference in that both play exactly the same. At most you just need to buy the expansion for whichever Windows version (Steam or non-Steam) that you have.

The safe bet would be to just buy the non-steam PC version since I'm unsure if the steam will work in this way. I'm pretty sure it will but don't take my word on it. If you buy the complete edition on PC and you only have ARR on your PS4, then if you ever decide to play on PS4 in the future, you will only be able to play ARR content. If you buy steam, you will have to buy steam expansions in the future. Is the steam version cheaper than the vanilla PC version? If not, I'd recommend not buying the steam version. Too many headaches from what I see here on the boards.

ok thanks guys, sorry its a little confusing. The story is that on my account I got ARR on PC but cd install and ARR and Heavensward on PS4 but due that I had the Cd install of ARR on pc I'm wondering if I can download Stormblood on steam because Ive bought 100$ steam cash and I am stuck with this money :/

on your mogstation theres what version of the game u have, theres steam version and non steam(which u can buy on SE official site or all other retainer sites like greengaming etc.) If u buy the steam version you can only play on the steam version, and you can only buy that version too. For example if u dint buyd the ARR version on steam but u want to buy the sb/hw one on steam it wont work. So you need to buy both ARR and HW/SB on steam to make it work. I hope it makes you any sense lol.

Please don't do that!

If you already have the non-Steam PC version then there is nothing you can do to make it Steam. If you buy the full game/expansion on Steam that will only work for a NEW account (as in new characters, new subscription).

Allright thanks everyone ! I give 2 game gift to my friend on Steam because I was stuck with 70$ steam money sooo my friend bought stormblood on SE store and give me the cd key. Everything is working now.
