i would worry about myself messing up my own rotations rather than to stress myself worrying about other's. actually, i'd be more upset if you won't respond when i say, "hi", during dungeons runs.

I ran into thunder mage once .. He used thunder 3 as openner,then spamming scathe while wait for thundercloud proc,when out of mp he used blizzard3 once and resume his rotation .. Rinse and repeat ..

O_O how is that fun playing.... they already say blm's rotation was boring pre hw but.... ok... with all this "this is my playstyle" can I just point out that aside all low dps and whatever, I don't understand where is the point pressing one button... I am not really good but not bad ether, tho I always try to learn rotations which are fun for me and the same time I do good dps...

Same goes with brd (on my other char i'm 59) I am learning new ways of bard... and I actually do not mind the WM - as my main on both my chars are casters, I don't see a problem with the fact that I have to stand still, I do not run around with my bard if it's not kiting mobs in open word when i farm them <o<;

1) Kicking someone who is holding your group back is a valid reason.
2) How is kicking someone = "losing their sh!t"? It's like the most calm thing you can do to solve a problem in the run.

All these threads just bring to the light a very important need that needs to be implemented in this game. We need a way for the game to give us feedback about how we are performing. A parser is obviously one solution but that will never be implemented (our fancy new TP bar can't even show numbers) and another would be some solo trials that players can participate in that would gauge their dps and situational awareness complete with a score so they can compare with the rest of the server (anonymous cause people be sensitive). This will let people know where they stand and yes, it will let them know if they are terrible.

I've found that a lot of these "my playstyle bro" type of people don't even know how badly they are actually doing so naturally they are going to be more defensive than usual.

You can lead a horse to water, but...well we know the rest. Makes no difference, there are already tools in the game for people to use to maximize their class (CD's) and people still don't use them. So, sure the tool can be there but it takes someone to use it to have an effect.

Especially if they're stuck in the "this is my play style" attitude.

I have been thinking about this whole "I play how I want to play". It can work to some extent, but the game must be adjusted for it.

We would need individual rewards instead of group rewards. Basically each instance would have set scores that you can achieve as an individual for bronze/silver/gold rewards. The points should be calculated based on mechanics, aoe avoidance, dps, enmity management and healing + the bars set for minimum item level to make easier. The more points you get the better rewards.

And now to make this system totally evil - low score = no reward = no clear. To make it more fair there could be a buffer for run or two that would then reward you retrospectively when you do enough points.

This system would allow everyone to play how ever they want to play, while rewarding those who do more than necessary and educating those who haven't reached certain skill level to contribute enough.
