I have no idea where this recent obsession with Cid came from. Personally I find everything about him to be fugly. Aymeric or Raubahn thx.

I had a good laugh at your comment! As a genderfluid person myself, I have days where I feel feminine and would like to have access to glamors without having to resort to a fantasia to play a female character. Or I feel macho and want to wear a tough looking armor! I feel like I should be able to access that at all times, and not be limited by a gender-lock.
I don't want to see players upset about what they don't have- having access in its entirety solves this problem so honestly, I'm lost at whatever logic dictates that it can't happen.
I guess we'll wait to see what the new "male exclusive" outfit is, and I hope by everything it's not a boring one because then I will have some rather fierce opinions to share!
I don't see anything wrong with that, to be honest, but I can see where you're coming from and what the need actually is.
I don't see how it will reduce the quality of the design. It's accessible to everyone, and androgyny has always been a staple of the Final Fantasy games. Why stop now? Sure, I love gorgeous armor or dapper suits as much as the next person, but I also like pretty dresses and I love seeing them carried by all genders so it really isn't logical to limit it at all.
I hope not. I wish they'd give me an option so armor wouldn't give my character boob armor. I want to look serious and tough while wearing the new void armor set or the DRG AF1, but both of them show off my character's breasts and it's dumb. Making everything unisex, also put in an option so that the armor flattens the chest consistently, would really be great imho. Plus.. It's going to be annoying when we have 20 sets of "Male only" outfits that look really cool and 20 sets of "Female only" outfits that look sexy/pretty. Unisex outfits for everything satisfies the most people (Except for the crowd that complains about not wanting to see dudes in dresses but.. Lol they're playing a game with lots of dudes in dresses, skirts, and other feminine underwear, just not every skirt/dress/feminine clothing piece).
The core issue is men have less glamour options than women imho. If the dev team came out with a bunch of "Men only" masculine sets, then I'm sure there would be loads of girl PCs going "But I want that too!" The only solution is make everything unisex. Though, we have loads of suits, leather jackets, suits of armor (Which change from either minor to major things for the girls), which was a lot of the "Masculine" sets I saw in the thread people were referring too. I don't get exactly you could be asking for.
I think it is. I don't want dude characters to be kept from feminine clothes and I don't want to be kept from wearing masculine stuff. It's very much so possible to make just masculine gear that both guys and girls can wear. Like, I don't think the dev team goes "We need to make this unisex, so let's make this masculine set feminine to make it unisex both is design and function!". Similarly, I don't think they look at like some of the feminine sets and go "Well, we need to make this more masculine so it looks unisex".

To be fair, all gear is made with a preset size for breast. The breast slider only matters for your character with nothing on. I think with the way the gear is made in this game, it would be hard to allow that or it's very time consuming. If the clothes/gear worked like in animeish game, then yeah, it should be np.

I agree. I'd rather have everything be unisex than the current system we have now. Even if they were somehow worried that men wearing dresses would shock people, I doubt there'd be many male characters bothering to do it after the initial change.I had a good laugh at your comment! I imagine there must be some reason it's not as simple as flipping a switch. But at the same time I can't imagine that there's a large amount of effort the prevents it from happening, just some. I'm thinking that it's more of a stylistic choice, (one I don't really agree with) rather than a prioritization that is causing them to pursue other content rather than unisex outfits.
But hey, I'm just a dude that likes to dress an adorable lalafell lady in outfits, my opinion don't mean much.
