I kind of wish everything was unisex. I've found gender restrictions on gear to be irritating in every mmo I've played. It's unnecessarily limiting.
At least add some sort of counterpart for the other gender. :/

I want to drop a quote here from someone on these forums (from a different topic, but still relevant to the discussion):
This also isn't targeted solely at you, but to many of the people who joined in (interestingly enough, with female characters)/will be joining in on the discussion with a "so what?" outlook. Those who benefit from a system rarely see its flaws.
i would be perfectly OK with a few glamour items being female exclusive. but they way they have it as now the gap is only getting larger. and it is favoritism (to an extent) if they are making gear exclusively for females.
Side note: i do recall SE saying it was easier to fit gear on female models then it was on male models, if this is true, would that not mean they don't want to bother with fitting gear for males? (i may be wrong with them saying this,if so, please ignore the side note)

Even if this was true, which is questionable in many cases, they need to start exercising self-restraint when they put their time into fitting male-style outfits to the ladies if they want to keep things fair (which takes time, even if it's not as much time as the reverse). But most of the items are so similar to existing ones (plain long skirt versus spring skirt, miscellaneous shoes and hats) that I don't really believe the argument that the size of the gap is due to our cumbersome, lanky male bodies at all. If they can find the time to fit the same things to female Roegadyn and female Lalafell and keep coming up with alternate female-only garments, they clearly have time to give us our missing bunny ears, hats and shoes![]()
I'm sure Tataru will sew more unique outfits for Scions, not just Y'shtola and Alphy, I hope. And then I also hope we can wear them too.
While I technically disapprove of going off topic given how passionate I am about the main debate, and dancing around spoilers as much as I can, I'm beginning to suspect that all of the Scions whose costumes have been hinted at for the cash shop will be receiving clothing upgrades at some stage soon. It would be jarring if there are people walking around dressed in the same way as the storyline characters, but if Tataru's busy upgrading costumes then S-E can release the old ones and keep them in circulation without any overlap. In which case players wearing the new Tataru-brand outfits might be some way off yet.
There is, of course, another reason. Those hinted Scions may simply ... not be returning. Ever. While I technically disapprove of going off topic given how passionate I am about the main debate, and dancing around spoilers as much as I can, I'm beginning to suspect that all of the Scions whose costumes have been hinted at for the cash shop will be receiving clothing upgrades at some stage soon.
And this is the brunt of WHY this is an issue. When will it end? Eventually ALL of the glamour gear will favour females, and frankly, that just can not be stood for. Things started great for equality, but they need to return to their roots in this.Pre-Patch 2.2: Everyone had the same number of potential equippables
Patch 2.2 (26th March 2014): Female characters gained 4 extra equippables
Patch 2.4 (28th October 2014): The number rose to 7
Patch 2.51 (24th February 2015): The number rose to 11
Patch 3.0 (19th June 2015): The number rose to 16
Patch 3.1 (10th November 2015 - as yet unreleased): From the previews alone it looks as though it's rising to at least 25

RIP glamour for males ONLY. No bunny ears for males, only care with the bent of bunny ears.
