Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who likes the 24 man raids

It's totally true. All I hear is complaints mostly (maybe I should stop reading the forums).

I miss doing my CT weekly. Unfortunately I just don't have time to sit in queue for 4 hours waiting for a party (believe me I WOULD but, alas, real life) since most people aren't doing them anymore. I love the designs of the whole trilogy...the fights, the arenas, the music. It's all so great.

People complain about trolls/troll parties. So what? If you want to do the content then suck it up; there will always be terrible people. Half the alliance new and everyone wipes? Fine, sure. Let them know what to do. STILL wipes? Honestly... really it doesn't bother me. Wipes happen. Absolutely worse-case scenario: the alliance attempts Bone Dragon for two hours. I'm not going to die from that. And even when things DO go wrong, it's fine.

And still people say "oh it's too easy" or "why do my best?" Well...there are tons of reasons to do your best and give it your all. One, you could be the one who saves the run. Outperform everyone. Two, do your best and it goes more quickly. I feel like if more people tried instead of "I'll just press my main attack skill key until we finish" then more runs would go better. Don't like random people? Then find the other 23 people in PF and do it that way.

The Void Ark section of the new trailer got me SO PUMPED FOR IT even moreso than I thought I could be.

I expect Void Ark to be no different from how CT is, so yea, it's gonna feel like a chore after a few clears. Too much wasted potential. The generic trash - boss - trash - boss - trash - boss - boss is just not acceptable in a 24-man raid, especially when there isn't really anything interesting to do between the fights, just move on to the next fight. Most dungeons have more content.

WoD was a good example of that. AFKers and wipes to simple mechanics everywhere.

I like them, but I don't like the people in there. The content isn't challenging, but people getting their egos in check and to stop fighting each other? That's the real difficulty.

Void Ark looks awesome, better than Labyrinth, Sycrus and World of Darkness IMO, more compelling plot right out the box too, seeing as it isn't Final Fantasy III: The Raid.

That said, I enjoyed Crystal Tower. What I didn't enjoy, and what I doubt I'll enjoy in Void Ark, is the people. They've always been the problem, though I do partly blame SE, for making everything so damned easy (and continuing to nerf everything), rather than giving us a gradual difficulty curve, that meant people who got to Crystal Tower could handle the mechanics, because they didn't get carried through all the prior content... The design philosophy in this game seems to be "Everyone should be able to challenge this piece of content", when I'd argue it should be "Everyone who got this far should be able to challenge this piece of content".

I'm actually pretty pumped for void ark too. I love the creepy alien vibe it has. I'm not super looking forward to running it every week and dealing with the tom-foolery of the general populace, so i prob won't. But I'm definately excited for that first time stepping into the unknown with new bosses, new music, and new environments.

I like the 24 man raids (well I am really meh about Labyrinth of the Ancients, but ST and WoD are cool) until people start to be rude and the like. If it's a nice and friendly group, I have a blast and look forward to it. Definitely looking forward to Void Ark at the moment.
