Hard Mode Exploration Content

Reading through Mr Happy's translation of the live stream and the slides, it looks like Hard Mode exploration will only be available to FC airships, and not to those from Ishgard.

From those who watched/understood the letter, is that the case? Was there any provision mentioned for those FCs wanting to do HM but who can't afford/obtain a house?

Yep, FC can invite others to join in expedition, as it stands it's either you need 2 per airship for the FC and other members or it's just 2 FC min. Not exactly sure about that part.

But I do know in a group of 8, 2 FC members from same FC can invite 6 others to tag along in their airship and partake in a hard mode.

Ah, so the piggybacking off another FC is the only way mentioned? That's a bit disappointing. Guess housing will become even more critical for a FC.

From what I understand, Hard Mode is accessed by a rank 50 airship, which only an fc can have. However, the FC can invite players from outside the FC to join them. So keep an eye on pf for FCs looking for extra players to fill out their party/alliance. Also the inevitable selling of HM exploration.

Yes, FCs will have the extra option to do hard mode. Other FCs can join those who already have their airships ready to do hard modes.
