Characters stuck in instance when not logged in

World name: Leviathan
Character name: Saber Coolfang
Area and coordinates: Keeper of the Lake instance

Issue: After disconnecting during an instanced dungeon, this player still shows as online in the instance Keeper of the Lake. The instance ended a long time ago, and he has been stuck this way for 5+ days.

I do not know if he is able to login to the game or not. I have tried to research the matter and found suggestions that this does not always effect the ability to log back in (3102 error etc), and can be cleared when the player logs back in. This player very well could be inactive at this time and it could be days or weeks until he logs in again. Or he may be experiencing login issues. We have been unable to contact him.

My free company has advised me this has happened to another of our members a few times, when he disconnected during an Alexander Savage instance and that it did impact his ability to log back into the game and typically takes a day or two after reporting for Square Enix support to resolve.

Please log the Saber Coolfang character out of the game. His status is Online in a Keeper of the Lake instance, but he is not online and the instance ended days ago. Please consider adjusting/adding an auto-logout mechanism to instances so that players won't stay in an online status for a significant amount of time when they disconnect during an instance.


This issue is an inconvenience to my Free Company because FC credit gains are higher when fewer than 3 members are online, and right now we have a member who is showing as online all the time, even though he isn't. The only solution for us is to kick him from the Free Company, and we do not want to do that to him because his online status is a bug.
