So far ONLY for red gathered scrips nothing for crafter ones as of now.
I'm a bit 50/50 about this cause if they increase the % rate for the spawn that will be great but WE ARE still stuck and limited as of how many we can craft a week cause they haven't increased the amount of red crafters tokens u can get a week.
I'm still happy thou. Hopefully they will increase the about of red scrips you get a week for crafters
I would like if the number materials of all recipes was cut in half. Seriously, it's absurd the amount of materials you need.
Personally I'd like them to move everything back one step with the system. Having both blue and red scrips gathered from unspoiled nodes is rather dull and with gathering it just makes it a pain and is quite honestly not even balanced with crafting scrips.
Take Birch Rod for example. At 37 per base with about 13-14 to turn in you need the following per synth.
2 Birch Lumber
1 Birch Branch
1 Aurum Regis Nugget
1 Archaenis Leather
2 Star Sapphire
1 Growth Formula Theta
Now based on the 13-14 to reach cap you have the following
1 unspoiled node for Gold Ore 9am
1 unspoiled node for Coerthan Tea Leaves (Or buy off NPC) 10am/pm
2 unspoiled node for Red Quartz (But node is available twice so can be done in the same hour as others) 12am/pm
Aurum Regis Sand is not hidden so can be gathered in between at own pace
Birch Branch and Log share same point so you can gather both at same time
Birch Log is hidden but as mentioned above for nodes that don't have it you can gather the Branches
Raw Star Sapphire is also not hidden so can be gathered at own pace
Rue and Basilisk Eggs can be gathered at own pace
When you look at the above the system you get for crafting is one in which you have control over the pace in which it gets done, phase 1 you can gather everything and then phase 2 craft it for turning in, DOL however doesn't have this luxury, they have to wait, and if you only have Miner or Botanist leveled then it takes twice as long which is a bit unfair for those who may only want to focus on one and not both because the current system forces you to lv all to 60 to be time efficient.
On a personal level what I would of done was had "hidden" items found from 50+ be used to obtain Blue Scrips, and then you could actually buy favors with Blue Scrips that would allow you to gather items that use to be unspoiled like Adamantite ore and such, they could keep the Legendary nodes on the 1hr timer but if they wanted the current 12hr nodes to work with collectibles, instead of making them unspoiled I would of turned them into "favor" nodes.
I honestly think a change like that would make the system more organic, allow gatherers to set their own pace and eliminate this whole 30 min wait, 30 min wait, 30 min wait "gameplay" that is currently involved in scrip acquisition for gathering.
if they want to incerase red scrip limit, especially the gathering one, they better have a good plan to reworking the favor system.
2x weekly red scrip with the current favor sytem will give you 90 favor, that mean 450 minute mindless grinding per week, while it give you more material, 450 minute grind is not fun in any case, especially when you doing botanist favor, where the normal item from normal node is USELESS.
The item team guy thought it was way more important to answer a question about "bent bunny ears for glamour" than to address any of the red script bs thing AT ALL....
Sometimes I wonder why I still pay for this game's subscription....
To be fair, the bent bunny ears question has been asked for much longer than the red scrips issue.
Not a direct adjustment to Red Scrips, but;
If I'm reading that correctly, the materials are no longer obtainable solely from the weekly Scrip cap, and potentially the entire server could be supplying the demand for stuff like Purified Coke. Weekly Red Scrips can instead be used to either supplement your supply of such materials, or to purely focus on the gear. Pretty much exactly what I had hoped Airship Exploration would yield when I saw the changes to crafting in 3.0 and heard Airship Exploration would involve gathering as well, combine that with 3.2s "High-level craftable gear added from 3.2 onwards will be much stronger", and I'm looking at crafting slightly more favourably again...Q10: You mentioned that we could trade unwanted equipment we find for points, but how exactly will we be able to use these points?
A10: You’ll be able to use them on new flying mounts, materials necessary for new crafting recipes, red scrip materials, shards, materia, and more. You can also just desynthesize the equipment.
That said, I still don't really like Red Scrips... Not because they're hard to obtain, I find them pretty piss-easy to obtain if I'm being honest... The weekly cap is my issue with Red Scrips... I don't like how weekly caps are implemented in this game... It effectively turns things into a chore, I have to cap Red Scrips this week, else I fall behind (and I'm already far behind, having only recently finished off leveling my crafts...). I don't find them difficult in the slightest to obtain, but I'd rather log on and obtain Red Scrips because I want to, than log on and obtain Red Scrips because I'll fall behind if I don't... Tomestones were bad enough, Red Scrips just added to the problem, I want to log on and play, not log on and worry about some weekly limit...
