Stop ripping content out of the game and give more value to our subscription dollar making us more likely to stay subscribed for long periods of time.

Okay. They can easily leave the stuff out of the shop, but then they'll just keep putting the same rewards for every annual event. That flying broomstick you just got? Nope. You get pumpkin helmets. They cycle out the old stuff and put it in the mog shop once it's 2 years old. They've been adding last year's stuff in game for gil. Then they retire it to the mog store.

    Stop bitching about this non-issue.

So omnipotent one asnwer me this.

    Why not get both?

It's not like the game doesn't have a perfect vendor to hand out old event rewards at (Gold saucer) Not only would it give players a reason to continualy participate in things like the cactpot it gives the saucer and seasonal events themselves a constantly building base to grow on. Instead of being a small event every year they can do what they are doing add a new item and event and keep the old rewards on a vendor or just shunt them to the gold saucer on their off season god forbit they continue to build on systems they introduce to the game instead of leaving them for dead for half a year.

They don't have to add them at all. They could easily say "tough luck, you missed the event so you miss the items."

There are very few exclusively offered items on the mogstore. Fantasia and namechange are very reasonably there. I don't really agree with Sleipnir and the other store-only minions (but those are no different than the plushy-given ones or the soundtrack ones) because I think those should be attainable in game at first.

But old holiday things? Let them be on the mogstore because it's a convenience being added for those people who initially missed the event.

And why is this such a bad thing to start with? Honest question.

Because people would complain that they didn't even get a chance to do the event? Thus adding to the list of complaints that already plague this forum? I mean were you here when the whole lightning event thing happened? It was one side upset that they never got the chance, and the other upset because they didn't want to same event back or whatever their reason was.

I don't actually care either way. I make most of the events since I play regularly and don't unsub. If they did go the tough luck route, people would be griping up and down the forums about not having a chance to get the items because they were busy fighting wars overseas.

They already have. Various and sundry gear pieces, the "Legacy" Chocobo, non-maimed Goobbue, Cait Sith Doll and every minion tied to an expired merchandise voucher says, "Hi!".
