I guess he meant that both of these options require you to store the item data and if they were able to implement the glamour log, they would rather increase the inventory, because for them it is the same thing. While in my opinion glamour log would require much less data than more inventory space.

Still.. it is a lazy answer.

I would like to know how much Gil do extra retainers net them.

This whole hiring feature makes me annoyed to oblivion... yet do we really have a choice? I am not sure it would be possible for me to enjoy the game with only two retainers. All the wasted time while micro managing your inventory was too much of buzz kill.

A glamour log suggested in the question is basically one binary value attached to a character - has it? yes/no. Physical items in inventory...well, let's see: condition, SB value, colour and crafted-by if applicable, HQ or NQ if applicable... if it's the same amount of data, I'm gonna feed Shuu his dragonskin boots.

Should form a "not paying for extra retainers" alliance or some such - personally, I've been sticking to the two we were given. In 2.x. When we didn't have 2000 new items, and weren't preparing for 500-800 more in the next patch.

Ya, I didn't really understand the glamor log response, unless it is just the "list" itself that is too much. Which I wouldn't think would require tooo much since it would just be an Item ID or name reference. Which I mean could add up if you had tons of IDs referenced, but It would only apply when you actually glamoured it to something, the list itself wouldn't need to be called until you opened it, which who cares if there is a delay on that. Honestly I think they could tie this to desynthesis or something, but w/e

As far as the idea behind it, it is just an item ID reference to apply a Mesh&Materials overwrite on an item, so I was confused .

But /shrug I dunno how they have it set up.
