Levelling = Class Skill is the most retarded concept anyone thought of.
It's not a retarded concept entirely, just in FFXIV's case it is. lol

I got to 50 on two characters (mi'qote weaver, elezen lancer) but it took a few months. I am not caring if people power level with this mistake SE unintentionally introduced into the game. I mind my own business and play as good a player as I am. If I come across someone who is an absolute numbnut on how they play their character I will Blacklist them - regardless if they were power leveled or went through the normal way. It is the same in my eyes - if you suck, you suck, plain and simple.

It's not an exploit. Read what Yoshi said. Stop making pointless threads because you're butt hurt about it.

    Same thread, different day.

It's funny when people refuse to accept that something is an exploit because it's something they enjoy ^^; They brand the word as purely negative and want nothing to do with it.

Most of them seem to think "exploiting" = "bad person/doing something wrong"
And so since they're definitely NOT a bad person, there is no possible way that they could be exploiting anything... The whole idea is absurd!! D: lol

Exploit: "to utilize, especially for profit; turn to practical account"
    "to make productive use of : utilize <exploiting your talents> <exploit your opponent's weakness>"

"The coal mine is no longer commercially exploitable (= can no longer be used for profit)."

"The lack of jobs in this area means that the workforce is easily exploitable (= employers can use workers unfairly for their own advantage)."

It basically means to take advantage of a situation. It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. Saying something isn't exploiting because you have something personally against the word won't change the definition. But people can remain ignorant if they wish.

It does apparently. It shows you how to act in tricky situations, makes you get used to the Class you are playing and learning an efficient way of playing your role. For a Mage i.e. Conserving MP. There are various of Situations you wont experience through if you are able to get your Class to 50 in one day while afk'ing.

    Experience = you learned something.

Yeah nice bringing up a Game, where you dont need skill AT ALL.

And that is the point... FF Players in majority wants challenge and not brought everything right to their feet. If you are able to rank up to the max in one day, than its obviously even easier than wow and we could go like: "Hey lets hand out fully maxed Characters or lets move exp and Ranks and everyone have acess to anything.

But this is the NA-Forum, so i dont expect to see common sense.

Yoshi himself stated he want that people can reach the max in 1-2 Month and NOT in 1-2 days. Its loosing every aspect of leveling right now.

No skill, huh? Anyone saying the ifrit fight takes no skill? Pretty sure he looks like a boss fight taken straight from wow's playbook, and many of their clones.

Learn to Read. Beside FFXIV beeing far away from beeing a WoW-Clone, do you really think someone who brought his character up to 50 in one day will be able to kill it? If so, please go back to WoW and dont let the door hit you.

A rollback, sadly, is the worst thing to do in a mmorpg. They could lose some players indeed.
In any case the PL is already a punishment itself for who uses it. It's not worth to play in a game when your growth lasted 1 day, without memories and experiences that accompanied you during leveling. And without the right knowledge to play a class. Useless imo.

SE added this ability for a reason, It is not just designed to get new players up but also lower lvl classes, to want to punish power lvling is to also want to punish anyone who switches from lvl 50 lancer to lvl 34 pugilist and has his friends help me do some leve's, Power lvling only works so long, It still takes the same amount of XP to lvl, I think the Original poster is being rather selfish to want punishment for people trying to catch up. I have been a casual gamer of FFXIV since Beta even got the Pre order collectors edition. I do not mind if someone else starts at zero and is able to catch up to me. There are times i wish there were more people to assist with stuff, or keep those markets full of merchandise. Like all other games this game needs new people. and the power Leveling that can go on in this game is pretty restricted. Look at teh Q and A from the producer, they are limiting it. there are downsides to any type of power lvling in this game. XP is split in parties, Chains are hard to maintain. if its not for levels after lvl 20 its gonna take hours to just lvl. if you didnt save up leves you cant do too many to power lvl either. Its all fair
