It is a bug, and it is an exploit. The mechanic that limits exp gains when a higher level player is in the party is not functioning. People are exploiting that to powerlevel lol.

That said, they probably shouldn't punish anyone for it.
and all the other crap you spew.

If it was a bug or exploit, the development team would be going hammer and nail fixing it ASAP. Instead they are just going to fix with the 1.19a. Not anywhere does he say "please don't do it in the meantime".

Everytime i see this fallacy it makes me angry.

Easy access to a max rank character affects everything from the economy and the supply and demand of low-mid level equipment, all the way to players available to partying, and trusting that majority of max rank characters being able to preform they're role in a party successfully.

I don't think they should be punished but i think SE needs to act on this before it gets more out of hand, and discourages people from trying to learn how to party the way they're supposed to. At the very least announce they're position on the matter so that I can know if its going to go away or not. Cause if its not then i'll stop playing, but if it isn't i'll level crafts till they fix it.
Leveling does not teach you how to play the game. Lets use wow for an example. I have a shaman, her talent tree was dps or dd (however you want to say it) all her career untill she reached cap. When i reached cap, i switched her to healer. It took no time to figure out how to play that class, and i was good enough to get invites all the time, for heroics and raids. If you believe that leveling is such a neccessity, maybe its cause your crap.

What's funny is the people who want to make levelling slower can still go do leves and sidequests and level just as slowly as before.

Instead they complain about it on the forums.

there shouldnt be any rollback or punished, the fault is SE who miss-calculate the exp rate. It will be unfair for me who grind solo on a rollback, and the item I spend 6h farm in dungeon lvl 15, you pay me those back ?

add: if player will get punished for pl, that ll be a lot of player got ban

Hah why did I never think to respond with that - Awesome point indeed!

To back it up, I power levelled my CNJ from 1-30 the other day, and within 2 pulls in my first normal experience party, I was healing far above and beyond the level of the other healer, who was spamming Curaga II like it gave him skittles on use.

The thing you can never get around is that some people are just terminally stupid. No matter what level they are or how much grinding they have done, they will simply never be good at the game. These people slowly get to 50, and then potter about making doomed to fail pick up groups for content they are no where near ready for. If you ask me, these are the people that cause the endgame issues, as they occasionally find themselves in endgame shells, with no clue, nor no want to learn about the boss encounters, dungeons, events and fights ahead. They just drift about with a half baked smile, while they are not quite on the same page as everyone else.

Don't see me as an elitist though, infact I strive on helping others ingame, for example I regularly give out the entire contents of my inventory to help LS crafters (and we are talking a considerable amount of farmed stuff here, not just a Faerie Apple and a Rothlyt Oyster), and have spent countless hours trying to give very polite and well directed advice to those who appear to be performing far below the required skill level for the task at hand. I never say "OMG NOOB YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG OLOLOL", instead will always approach things with "Hey man, those spells you are using are not really right for this, if you try to go down a spell tier, or possibly move round here, or maybe just watch me, you might find you die less and can gain a much more steady rate of exp". Most just ignore it, as they don't appear to be watching anything going on on screen anyways. But yup, the biggest issue is those of us just wanting an option to get away from these headaches, aren't we the spawn of the devil?

In the same respect, I do not think these people should be punished for their lack of skill either, if they enjoy the game, then good for them, and im sure they will meet other like minded players and they can all be thick together, but power levelling gave me the option to skirt around this stuff, which was very common in the dunes/qufim in FFXI, and in low end dungeons in WoW.

Usually the higher you fly, the less muppetry there is (there is more drama up here though, but less chance of a muppet spamming Curaga 19 on you when you have taken 4 damage), and I loved power levelling for this, but no, now I have to rejoin the grind with these bottom of the gene pool bottom feeders, to go through all that stress while trying to level.

Was fun while it lasted though, and got a lot of my jobs up to the mid 20's while I could. Should I be punished for this? Of course not, I just did what I enjoyed at no one else's expense and here I stand.

PL shouldn't effect player skill either tbh, as the OP said, someone can pt and grind from 1 to 50 and still bad at the game, so PL isn't the fault to make player play bad but themselves for not learn their class well enough to master it. A PL can learn his/her class at lvl cap and master it, so it's all about player skill (the more exp you have with mmorpg, the more skill you got, all mmorpg are the same but only a slightly different in combat theory that can easy learn)

Yes but neither you or i are trying to change a game simply cause we don't like an aspect of it. I should also mention the fact, especially since so many ppl like to point it out here, that in wow you could also solo your way to cap, yet all endgame is dungeons and raids which is grp content. Grp mechanics aren't that a big of a mystery to figure out in any game.

Not an elitist either tho, just that i dislike whiners.

Its obvious killing general weak mobs using the same skills and buttons and tactics will teach you how to defeat Ifrit, its practically the same fight!

Levelling = Class Skill is the most retarded concept anyone thought of.

It's because they ran out of other things to point fingers at. As with all forum rage, it's find the biggest thing to pin your reason, and hang onto it blindly, in ignorance of anyone telling you you are very, very wrong.
