Transferring hotbars and macros to another ps4?

Okay so, basically I am in college now and my roommate and I have a ps4 in our room. Since he brought his I left mine at home for my brothers and for when im home. The thing is, since the cross hotbars and macros (I already adjusted the UI stuff since that takes like 5 seconds) are not server side I would need to remember and redo every single last one for every single job. I tried downloading data from the PS Plus online storage but that didnt do anything. Is there any way for me to bring over my hotbars and macros from my home ps4 to the one in my dorm room?
And before anyone says to google it, I did and all I could find was transferring from something else to ps4 not between multiple ps4s

Is your home PS4 set up to upload your FFXIV:ARR save files? If you have PS Plus, it should be able to, but whether it actually does is an optional setting (though I think it's enabled by default, IIRC).

That's the only thing I can think of. If it's not the issue and the PS Plus upload and download of your character's save file doesn't provide this, then I'm not sure there's any automated way you can do it. (Odd, that's where I would have thought it was stored.)

The nearest SE came to providing such a feature was an option to upload this data from a PS3 and then download it to PS4 to allow for people wanting the platform upgrade when the PS4 version was released. But unfortunately, they made that feature platform specific and it doesn't allow doing the upload portion from another PS4. (I really don't understand, when they came so close to having it, why they didn't just make that into a generic feature for uploading from any platform and downloading to any other. It would have made things so much easier for multi-platform players.)

You may be stuck with re-creating all your gear sets, hotbars, and macros from scratch. A bunch of screenshots could take care of the remembering what's there part, but re-entering everything is going to be a chore. Also, remember that if you make any future changes and updates to them on your roommate's machine at college, your home PS4 is going to fall behind and need to be updated to match.

I had a horrible experience the other day and lost all my character data. So what I have discovered is that you can back up and restore to a USB drive by going into your PS4 settings, application data, then looking in the FFXIV folder for your System and (most important) Character data files.

It didn't help me as I didn't have them backed up (I didn't even know about the location) but if you're transferring machines you should be able to move the data across. Just make sure you are logged in as the same PSN account so they don't get locked. If you have PS+ already then it works in exactly the same way; manually upload the files from the Settings area then download them again if the auto-backups miss them.

As I sit here remaking all of my action bars I agree with everything Niwashi said about giving us the option to upload character data to the server the same way we did the PS3 upgrades
