    Can we get a hardmode version of the void ark series in the future?

    Using the 1st void ark as an example...

    TL : DR
    210 dyable void ark gear
    higher boss hp
    shorter enrage timers
    higher incoming damage
    failed mechanics = wipe
    Only premade alliances can enter
    aimed to be bis ex difficulty scaled to 24 man.

    This would close the midcore content gap. The fights would be retuned, not redesigned. It would give meaning to grouping up outside of df. A sense of community would return to the end game. etc etc etc

    This cuts out like 80% of the player base. I'm sure barely anyone would have the people for this. People already say it's too hard to make a PF group with friends.

    Iunno. Finding and organizing 24 separate middling players is sort of a logistical nightmare. So much so that's not terribly "midcore" anymore.

    It would be PF-able just like bis ex. It would be designed such that, if you can do normal void ark and you can do bis ex, you could do Void Ark HM.

    Then they can make their own PF group? DF kills any sense of community. These are not game breaking rewards, if people don't want to group up outside of df, they can run the normal version. We are already going to see this 24-man premade type content with island exploration. Why not extend that to void ark?

    I'm all for it. This game needs progressive raids - As my other post (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ion-in-Content) explains, many people I know are getting tired of the only endgame being arena-based boss battles.

    Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.

    Until we know for sure how difficult airship explorations are, which also give 210, I don't think it's exactly fair or logical to make much easier content give the same rewards as Savage Alex, while Savage Alex is still relevant.

    Still not really selling me on the idea of a non-faceroll raid giving out equivalent gear to content I've been trying to beat for about 12 hours a week for 2 months. There are ways to address this that could also accommodate this harder mode, but I don't think just adding this mode and keeping the other 210 option(s) the same difficulty is fair.

    They already said that the 210 aetherial gear will come from HNMs that are going to be harder in difficulty than the S ranks of hunts. Also, island exploration will not be a server wide zerg fest, it will be 24 man with monsters harder than s-ranks. I think it's safe to to make the assumptions I have made based off of the info SE has provided.

    Your raid gear will already be given out in void ark by virtue of upgrade items. There will be 210 gear from island exploration. The gear in alex savage is virtually meaningless outside of glamour and bis. Actually, BiS will be an island exploration thing, so the only reason to really complete alex savage is for glamour at this point.

    Personally I think they just have a weird system. They come out with content to push toward, such as Savage, then months later come out with content used only to catch up so you can do more savage. Where instead they could have released Alexander Regular first, then Void Ark, and then afterward released Savage in a clear line of progression. But instead we get new content that is only there to make it so we can clear previous content that people are already getting tired of.

    Why not, instead, release the raids with a regular mode and hard mode like OP suggested, that way progressive raiding is a thing again, and then add something like Savage later on. They don't have the same rewards, Savage clearly comes with the best gear in the end, but then the raids don't feel so useless because half the population already has better gear anyway.

    That's a pretty vague statement that doesn't really describe how much harder or more difficult they're actually going to be. From experience with how they've described the difficult of content before it's released in the past, I don't think it's wise to assume the difficulty at all before one gets to actually try the content themselves.

    Plus, Notorious Monsters had low drop rates for gear. So much so that you had to beat them dozens or more times to get the items that you wanted. Are there weekly lock outs? Are there not? We don't know how difficult it is to get the 210 items from Exploration yet, it should be comparable to other means of obtaining that ilevel of gear. And as of right now, that means the incredibly difficult Alex Savage. I don't think a slightly harder 24 man raid would really compare to Alex Savage at the moment, and I don't know enough about Exploration to compare it yet.
