The trailers and inital MSQ hinted at Ramuh, spoiled Shiva and possibly also hinted at Leviathan. Bismarch and Ravanawere also promoted in the lead up to Heavensward (Then again they're aren't as spoilery as Alexander and Thordian)
I'm not disagreeing. I would point out though Im mentioning trial, not primal. We didn't get a new primal trial in 2.5 either unless you count Battle at Big Keep (which did technically have a primal in it), but the patch did have 3 trials. The direction the story is going to go isn't as clear in HW as ARR and frankly I suspect that might be intentional.
Also my main point is really we probably shouldn't be leaping to conclusions. We won't know for sure what content is in the patch till it launches which makes anything we say here dubious in accuracy.

Yeah we will have Singularity. So there still will be new Primal Ex battles.
It seems hardly suprising for me at least. the main scenario is seemingly shifting away from "go here, kill this primal."
instead we saw something much different. nidhogg, the WoD shattering Ravana's guard, a paladin about to get rekt by Y'shtola. seems like we're in for a wild ride regardless.
That's by design. ARR was about fighting the primal threats, with the culmination being the revelation of what they are and where they come from. They will always be a threat (Alexander), but not the main focus. We appear to be shifting into a story line that focuses on who the WoL is and what his impact on Eorzea has been.It seems hardly suprising for me at least. the main scenario is seemingly shifting away from "go here, kill this primal."

And the introduction of the Warrior of darkness. also nidhogg is much more powerful now he has his eyes back. That's by design. we still need to find the rest of the scions as well.
