We know for sure that Doom Train is coming as Yoshi clearly hint it during the Anniversary event room. The only thing we don't know is when is coming. It may come in 3.2 and not now. He said he will reveal the next Primal during the event and it came to be Doom Train. I think we won't see a new primal now. I really wonder why no info yet except if Yoshi want's to surprise us and kept it a secret of the last moment.

"significant" is something that you decide on ur own while I want 3.1 I would rather want the pvp patch 3.2 since I'm more into pvp ^

<Obtains all their tomestones from Seal Rock, not leeching either, Frontlines is what's saving this game for me at the moment.

That said, Wolves' Den was horribly balanced in 2.1 and it was an insane grind, never mind the fact that it was something for a small minority of the player base. Wolves' Den may have been added in 2.1, but I'd consider it to be something that was completed at a later date, sadly that resulted in the queues being pretty much dead on some data centers... Part of the reason I'd say 3.2 is the Wolves' Den update, even if 2.1 added the place, though that depends on how well they improve it...

The relic quest is going to be some half-assed grind with a shoddy story, not exactly what I'd consider meaningful content.
and yet tons and tons of players are going to do it anyway, so its still content that will be done by the playerbase. You cant just assume its going to be stupid and then disregard it as incoming game content, its still something for the players to do

Fixed that for you, with some things you forgot... Though I'm not too sure how you could consider something like Wolves' Den or the Aesthetician to be considered significant content... Or Housing, for how many people simply don't have access to that...
wolves den was fun content when it was first released. Just because you did not like pvp then doesn't mean other people didn't. Same with housing. Wards were not full on day 1, if you wanted a house back then, you could buy one. The training area is just conjecture at this point and 3-4 quests of the moogle mail series caliber are hardly content. You can finish 3-4 of those quests, reading all the cut scenes, within an hour.

It was off the top of my head, so of course I forgot stuff. Nice try at being snide tho. The Amalj'aa and Sylph were two beats tribes, we are only getting one in 3.1. Why didn't we get the gnath too?

We had more content for less dev time in 2.1 than we have in 3.1. Deal with it.

Yes, they're going to do it due to the lack of meaningful content. I never said it was "stupid", nor did I say I was disregarding it, I'm simply stating that it shouldn't be considered something special. The person was listing off content, the last few relic steps have probably taken less than a half a week to develop, most of them don't even have new weapon models.

    1) I PvP more than anything else in this game.

    2) Wolves' Den was horrendous when it was first launched. When it was first launched;

AP was used to unlock PvP Actions, meaning you had none at the start.
PvP EXP was rewarded in very small amounts, and you required a lot of it to get anywhere.
You weren't matched up with equal Ranks, so a Rank 30 with full PvP gear and useful PvP Actions could go up against a party of novices.
Morale was just hideously overpowered, complicating the above point.

It was basically fun until the win traders ruined it for everyone a week later and basically killed the queues to this day, there's a reason 3.2 is required to fix the place...

Well, I wasn't trying to be snide, but your attitude is certainly appreciated, I was merely pointing out content you'd missed off (for 2.1 as well) to clarify the list... As for Gnath Dailies... I'd say we're getting Vanu Vanu and Saint Endalim Scholasticate as a fair trade off...

Like I said though, quantity =/= quality, something like Sky Exploration is arguably worth far more than stuff like Treasure Maps and the Aesthetician, and it's certainly something everyone can do, where as only 1% of the population ever had a chance of owning a House.

    1) I don't care if you PvP now

    2) It turned out bad, but when it was first launched it was very fun. You're using the aftermath of 2.1 wolves den to justify it as it being non-noteworthy content to include in this comparison. That is a bad justification.

It was still content that SE released in 2.1. Just admit it, SE has had more time with 3.1 and it's coming with less content than 2.1 had. The facts are not on your side.

No matter how WD worked out, it introduced PVP to the game. That alone meant they had to add new mechanics, along with other changes (new skills, leveling system, gear, areas, skill changes) JUST for the pvp they introduced. It was a BIG change in a patch that included multiple BIG changes.

Again, this is about quality verses quantity...

Yes 2.1 added Wolves' Den, but it was of such utterly terrible quality that they might as well have held it back until they realized how terrible Morale was. Yes 2.1 added Housing, but its introduction was meant with much rage, rather than fanfare, off the prices alone, never mind the obvious supply/demand issue that is still a problem.

2.1 had quantity, I've never denied that, but what it lacked for a fair few of its pieces of content, was quality. So far, based off 2.0~2.55, I have no reason to doubt the quality of most of 3.1 content. Lord of Verminion alone seems more enjoyable than anything 2.1 offered, and Sky Exploration certainly has some potential. I mean really, 3.1 is adding an entire new zone with Sky Exploration, would you really quantify that in the same level as the Aesthetician?
